Only thing who breaks is that you have no idea that you are doing then you have to many.
But yes, you want 7 free for crafting writs, then you have unfinished Cyridil and IC quests. perhaps you pick up pledges passing trough, but 15 daily should be enough for most.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

I was always running out of quest space. Beause I'd be out somewhere and run across a quest and take it. Telling myself, I'll never remember where that was.

Then I found Quest map. It puts markers on your map showing you quest locations. Now I can go back and get that quest if I want.

I normally now have around 7 quests going at any one time.

Although. I would like to have an "archive" tab to put quests in I'll never do. Like that loud mouth tales of tribute girl. Just shut up already and give me the [snip] quest. ( the area that triggers the mouth should be a lot smaller radius. And not last nearly as long as they do. As we are running away to get them to shut up) Some cities have overly obnoxious people that follow me all over until I take the dam quest. Here look. I'm TAKING IT!!! Okay??? Now GO AWAY!!!!

none of my other toons have even gotten close on companion rapport to even get the companion quests, but i would you know just do them as they are all ridiculously easy

I have 10 characters filled with trash quests from companions. Each quest line of each companion took around one hour to complete even if I skip all the talk. It's a minimum of 40 hours doing something I hate just to fix something wrong in the game.

I wasn't asking for a free solution, or something that would ruin the game for other players who loves to have on 25 slots for quests on the journal. But nevermind. I guess I just need to focus on other games without this kind of weird limitations.

I mean, you can also just ignore the quest marker above their head.

I'd prefer to quit the game and play something else.

I read many players here who are absolutely satisfied with the limit of 25 quest slots and who are feeling disturbed by the possibility of increasing that space to those in need even if it doesn't harm their game in any way. It's an unexpected position, but I'll try to explain better what happens in my case, and why I need it. I hope you understand and accept that we have different ways of playing.

So here is a list of the 23 quests that I have permanently active on all my characters:

    > CYROIIL
    - Capture Any Nine Resources (rarely complete in one day)
    - Kill Enemy Players (rarely complete in one day)
    > WROTHGAR
    - Veteran Maelstrom Arena (rarely complete in one day)
    > BATTLEGROUND
    - To the Victor / Games Begin (rarely complete in one day)
    > COMPANION
    - Mirri Quest (trash I can't delete)
    - Bastian Quest (trash I can't delete)
    - Ember Quest (trash I can't delete)
    - Isobel Quest (trash I can't delete)
    > CRAFTING
    - Alchemist Writ (can clear but still need the space for next day)
    - Blacksmith Writ (can clear but still need the space for next day)
    - Clothier Writ (can clear but still need the space for next day)
    - Enchanter Writ (can clear but still need the space for next day)
    - Jewelry Writ (can clear but still need the space for next day)
    - Provisioner Writ (can clear but still need the space for next day)
    - Woodworker Writ (can clear but still need the space for next day)
    > GUILD
    - Dark Anchors (always active to do when I please)
    - Madness (always active to do when I please)
    - The Spirit Trap (always active to do when I please)
    > MAIN QUEST
    - The Harborage (trash I can't delete)
    > TALES OF TRIBUTE
    - Dueling Tributes (rarely complete in one day)
    > UNDAUNTED PLEDGE
    - Pledge (can clear but still need the space for next day)
    - Pledge (can clear but still need the space for next day)
    - Pledge (can clear but still need the space for next day)

I only have 2 free slots in all characters. If they release two more companions or more daily quests I enjoy... it'll be game over. I really believe that the increase of a few slots can help many players like me and I'm sure it won't ruin the game for those who don't need it.

It seems a bit ridiculous that they keep adding more and more daily quests every year without increasing our quest storage space. I don't get the idea. For every update we pay we should receive at least 2 or 3 more quest slots. Still, I'm willing to pay extra for what we should have already included.

I dropped so many quests that I wish I could have finished but will never complete because of the limit. Water under the bridge at this point but maybe open it up for future players.

The OP's post is a popular request, but it's been said that things start to break with too many quests being tracked.

If so, then let us remove quests forever.

I have in all alt characters 1 main quest that I will never do and can't remove it from journal for no reason. Also, I have 4 companion quests on my alts that I will never do, and I have it stored just to not see the arrow over the companions all the time. If this keeps going this way, soon we don't even have space to keep trash quests that we can't delete and we don't want to do.

We need a solution. Let us remove forever the main quest, companion quests, and others that we don't want to play dozens of times, or give/sell us more space.

In fact, 8 years ago we had space for 25 quests, now, we lost 7 slots on writs, 4 on companion trash, 1 on an already done main quest... so we only have 13 quests slots an tons on dailies to pick. Something must be done. It's getting impossible to manage. Another solution is to stop doing events that requires picking quests.

I've read that people can request removal of cadwell's silver/gold on characters through support. This is only 1 slot, a non-issue.

I drop the companion quests after im done changing what they wear or their skills, this literally doesn't take up a spot. You just have to put up with the quest icon over their head.

PVP repeatable and IC dailies are far more cumbersome to one's quest log than anything you mentioned since these are tasks that are not always done in one sitting and require/involve opposing alliance participation/resistance that can get in the way of completion (kill 40 players, kill 20 nightblades, win 3 battlegrounds, kill daedroth that are burning books + recover burning books, etc). I'm infinitely more willing to abandon a story quest than give up a 35/40 player kill quest or capture 9 resources at 8/9, or win 3 battlegrounds at 2/3 (you get the idea). You also have undaunted dailies (not the delve one) that contribute to 3 slots if they are not run, but these are a smaller issue from my perspective and are an anticipated burden to the quest log.

Typically my order of quest deletion are [holiday quests that are no longer in season]>[zone quests I haven't touched]>[group dungeon quests I didn't finish]>[trial quests]>[repeatable zone dailies]>[the scout cyro quest]>[town dailies in cyro]>[story quests]>[craftable writs]>[pvp tasks]

On the other hand, you have writs and zone/guild dailies. These are typically done after being picked up (I usually stack writs on my alts except for alchemy so I can do 2 of the same in a day, along with the the thieves' heist daily, but otherwise I do things like mage's guild/fighters guild, solitude dailies, fargrave dailies, and dragonguard dailies right away). I have zero issue with these blue quests being in a temporary quest log that are wiped on server reset so no storage needs to be dedicated, as the tasks are very easy to complete and the quests are repeatable. **Edit: i figured I should clarify, not master writs- master writs are consumable and should therefore go in the main quest log unless they were to give us the item back for not completing the quest- this would be met with complaints if added to a temporary/repeatable quest queue as people may be working towards farming a motif needed. These are not blue quests regardless so shouldn't be an issue.

I find the PVP quests are by far the most compelling reason to extend or separate the quest logs- they make doing daily writs and zone dailies on a PVP character an inconvenience.

After reading the information you shared about "people can request removal of cadwell's silver/gold" I contacted support and they already replied informing me that it's impossible to remove the main quests from the characters.

This is something so easy to solve...

Agreed. However, in the meantime (while we wait for never), I'd suggest getting (if you can): https://esoui.com/downloads/info1785-JournalQuestLog.html

That way you can abandon quests you find that you are not doing straight away, and still have a way to track the ones you are missing.

While I don't find all of OP's argument and points valid, I honestly don't see the issue with adding more quest log slots if there's no other reason than "arbitrary numbers". I saw reference of "too many quests breaks the log", but I could not find any official statement nor source corroborating this. It may have been a limitation in the past, or perhaps the developers thought that more than 25 markers felt too messy and convoluted, but then never changed the quest log number after they implemented the ability to toggle tracking for non-highlighted quests.

Perhaps it's to enforce some kind of coherency on our gameplay. Too many quests active and your game story becomes scattered and disjointed.
Although I think 25 allows that to happen anyway.

I wonder if it would be possible to embed the crafting quests into the crafting stations. So if you go to a crafting station, it would show you the daily. That would save 7 quest spots. I think the only people who might have trouble would be low levels that don't have enough resources to do any quest at any time.

That's not even close to the problem. I don't play stories on my alts. The problem are the insane amount of dailies we may need to track at some point (like explained in detail before). Most players, like myself, are unable to complete it all in one day, mostly (for me) the PVP and Arena ones.

Also hide all the prologue and chapter / dlc questgivers except the latest by default, or give them another color and flag like dailies.
The stupid prologues showing up everywhere. It must be totally confusing for new players.
Is in process of playing trough Cadvel silver and later gold and never has more than 5-8 quests from zone in log as I do them pretty systematic.

For dailies, main filler is the PvP one, with the Cyrodil and IC quests there you often end up with half done quests you want to keep for later. Also the 7 crafting writs you want to do as one bulk so you want 7 free.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
