Crafting: benefit to certification in creating items?

Hi, all! Quick question re: crafting. Is there any benefit in crafting (Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Woodworking, etc) to getting certified, beyond levelling up and opening up different abilities? I craft a lot of basics (Magicka & Stamina potions, basic health foods and drinks, etc) and don't build anything to supply guilds or such.

Thanks.

Certification allows you to do daily writs, which provide mats and other rewards, like master writs.

But in terms of JUST crafting common items, any benefit? Potency, upgrading, granted blueprints/schematics, etc?

^^ also - character on lvl 6 + 150exp scroll + all crafting certification quests => lvl 10 (or really close - at lvl 10 -> cyrodil intro quest and assault passive Continuous attack is most likely unlocked - increasing mount speed by 30%)

There is no direct benefit to crafting items. But daily crafting writs have rewards of crafting materials, material harvesting surveys, cooking recipes (for Provisioning dailies), and finally Master Writs (at max crafting level/etc). The dailies also give some points towards leveling up the crafting skills, along with some xp and gold.

They’re also a common source of intricate items to boost your crafting skills even faster.

Writs are perhaps the most time efficient gold farm in game based on their rewards.

Master writs you get from it aren't common items that need to be crafted

Its basically a tutorial for crafting that unlocks the daily writs on each character for each craft. Well worth doing on all your characters a great source of gold and crafting materials.

Basically, if you craft, you want to do max level crafting writs. Best source of Gold Tempers in the game, and a nice easy 5,000 + Gold per Character per day are the two biggest direct benefits.

There are others like during events, they can be an easy way to acquire recipes and motifs and transmute stones.

Also, don't forget Hirelings Mails. Not part of writs, but good to have on any character.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
