Any response to the animation changes jabs?

This year has by far been the worst year in the almost 10year history of ESO. As a parent i do not like to advocate for staff terminations, especially how i am a customer looking from the outside in. But i dont advocate for them except in rare circumstances because im not one to get in the way of another man’s meal or his family’s for that matter.
But i think it is fair to say some people should be given clear expectations of them for the future.
One of the reasons the community has been upset so much this year is not just the bad launch and horrendous updates, but also the response of the devs in regard to the community feedback concerning all the disappointment this year.

I’ll give credit where its certainly due:
@ZOS_Kevin , not kissing your butt dude, but you have been the greatest breath of fresh air to the forum sense its inception, keep doing what you do. We certainly need more communication from ZOS, even if its something as basic as:
“hey guys, for this month we got nothing new regarding the server update for pc eu, last we spoke to the supplier it would be x months till new servers are delivered, we will keep updating you on a monthly basis, thanks for understanding in advance”
Something as simple as that would go such a long way.

As much a zos needs more and better communication, ZOS also needs to clampdown on what is coming out to the public comms-wise as well. [snip]
ESO is one of the greatest games ever made, the criticism the devs and ZOS gets should not be taken as hate or trolls but rather should be taken as concern of a community that loves and has so much passion for what you guys have created that we don't want to see it destroyed.

The Elder Scrolls has become one of the most beloved video game franchises, a lot of what is said from the fans including the criticism comes from a place of love passion and concern of.

The animation is crap, the nerfs are bad, we know that, zos know that, nothing will change.

I like the new animation and after tweaking my rotation some can do the same content I've always done.

What is most disappointing is the lack of any response to the feedback.

ZoS did the wrong thing for the right reason, that is changing the animation to fit under the GCD was the right reason, but the animation was just done poorly. I realize some do like it, but I think it is safe to say MOST do not. However we got nothing in response, no "we're looking at it", or "we understand, but here is why we are sticking with it" or anything.

The nerf to it is also disappointing, but nerfs and buffs ebb and flow so it's more annoying than the flat out feeling of deflation of the new animation.

This is silent treatment. ZOS think that if they wait, negative reaction will subside. They see and read what is written here, but purposefully remain silent. Hey ZOS team, what's up? Are you ok? How is Matt doing?

How do you feel about templar now has been turned into absolute squalor? Why? Because:

new "jabs" animation with bad character movement and lazy "Ctrl+C" + "Ctrl+V" from Nighthollow staff motif (ZOS, rly, skills are not your three times recolored mounts from crownstore lol (p.s. looks like I just gave a super bad idea));
"Standardized" Jabs damage;
nerfed PoTL/PL damage (rly? Press it, stack damage on it and get less damage than nb after dealt 5 lazy light attacks? "Thanks" lol);
even nerfed Burning Light passive damage (this because you, ZOS, just want to see "DoT-plar"?);
nerfed Living Dark (bubble);

ZOS, you used too much stick in "carrot and stick" approach. Where's our carrot?

Rly, templar now - sucks. These're even not my words, I'm a very mediocre player, these're words of strong players who have a plar as main character. They try to play on it but experience severe discomfort, dissatisfaction, and a desire to transfer to another class or stop playing altogether (I have this desire, btw).

btw, I didn't want to write all this, but I know one thing: silence - kills my lovely plar. Now I will be like a real forum's kitty-nightblade

I like this way of looking at it. Adjusting the length of the skill does make sense to make light attacking easier. Adjusting the damage does make sense (even though i feel it was over nerfed). But how they did it, with the new animation is very poorly done. They need to be more open with the state of the skill as it has become a huge point of contention with many for the game. They took reasonable change and just added insult to it.
