Tip on Harrowstorms

Noticed if you do the ones in Blackreach the Grey Host satchels you get (NOT the event boxes) drop Vampiric blueprints. I've done like 6 and gotten 4 blue quality prints.

They're a bit slower to farm the the Reach obviously but it's less zergy and these blueprints are kinda rare and pricey.

I got a purple pattern for a magnificent vampiric runner from a Reach harrowstorm a few days ago. In the past I've gotten others from there, too. They're rare, as more often the document pouches contain pardon edicts and maps.

They can all drop Vampiric documents, they are just super rare.

    Great tip!

Another one: when the boss dies, wait for a few seconds after those thunder/explosions red circles cease before looting the reliquary.

Otherwise you get zapped and unable to loot for a few seconds.

I consider it a challenge to loot the reliquary before getting zapped. That way I can port out as fast as possible to get to the next one.

@Jaraal that is hardcore Harrowstorm farming.

Khajit is too slow and too big a target to evade the red circles :D

Thanks for the feedback guys. Didnt realize you could get the vamp prints topside, guess I just had a really good run.

After this really nice run I only got one Grey Host satchel the next like 8 Harrowstorms so I gave up and went and played Fallout 76.

If you use caltrops, time stop, or some other aoe slow, the ghosts will be much less likely to reach the pikes. In addition to making the fight much easier because there will be less bosses, there's an achievement you can get if no champions are summoned IIRC.

The main benefit though is that the bosses won't summon if the ghosts are killed. And the ghosts are more likely to die before they can be sacrificed to the pikes if you slow them somehow. Slotting these skills and using your aoe allows you to stop the ghosts and kill the pike at the same time.

You can also stun them with Turn Evil or Sellistrix, Zoal, or other things that are available to any class. Keeping them stunned/feared will delay the next wave from spawning. Also, if players can get organized and focus one pike at a time, the storm finishes much faster. In fact, ignoring the adds and burning the pikes down quickly will save a lot of player lives in the long run. Block and roll any add attacks, then refocus the pike.

I actually disagree with everyone focusing one pike. Most people should, but it's quite helpful to have like 1 person just take care of the ghosts on the other two pikes while everyone else focuses the third. The parts that everyone hates about the Harrowstorms like the crow mini bosses don't spawn that way, and at a certain point of players the pikes go down so quickly that having 1 more person on them doesn't contribute much.

If it's a small group, I do think focusing 1 pike is for the best. But once you have enough man power, I think one person on ghost duty is best.

My DPS isn't strong enough to make much of a difference on the pikes, but it can still handle the ghosts. As a result, I occasionally shift my attention to them - and when I see that blasted crow being summoned, I run around like crazy trying to get as many ghosts as I can.

For bow users, IIRC, Magnum Shot stuns the ghosts in place. I usually run around doing that to stop the big adds spawning.
