The damage reduction also initially really annoyed me HOWEVER it actually sort of did me a favour. I stopped just mashing one button and looked more actively at what other skills could give me.
I am not a high dps endgame player but I do love solo-ing dungeons and now I solo them even faster than before update 35, jabs is still on my bar, I just use it a bit less.
Oh to be upfront and honest I am using an Oakensoul setup atm! Infact I have 2 x Templars, a Sorc and a Warden that I would consider I play a lot, they all have the ring but use different sets! 😀

Hey @freespirit I know I'm asking a very subjective question here, but of the two templars, what would you say is the most fun to play?

So the people who played Templar for 8 Years and dissagree can show their struggle after u35..
Former Templar main. I started considering leaving the game as soon as the U35 combat preview was released. The moment I saw the jab animation, I knew it was over. Canceled my sub and haven’t logged in once since before U35 hit. They butchered the class and then rubbed salt in the wounds with this ridiculous vampire shovel animation. Come here sometimes to see if anything is changing, but of course it isn’t.

My main is pure DD and only really does PVE these days, the other Templar is more geared towards PVP, I leveled her in the below 50 campaign and she hasn't really done much PVE at all.
Consequently she has a limited amount of skill points to play with because there is always something I would rather do than chase down Skyshards for her! She has a good knowledge of healing and my plan has always been to go full heal with her, however for the time being she is definitely the weaker sister of my main but totally capable of completing the current event dailies.
She also wears my main's cast offs from over the years, my god she's wearing some really weird stuff atm, millions in the bank, too lazy to equip her properly!
In order of enjoyment to play, my main Templar, my Sorc, my Warden(my main PVP-er) and then my second Templar.
My Sorc was my original main until I discovered how easy Templar was, way back when! She is still my only Grandmaster Crafter and does all my decorating, also a bit of a standing joke in guild fun run trials, as she actually does more damage than my Templar BUT I am incredibly lazy and it takes more concentration to play her! 😏
what's the point in keep complaining about jabs?
The animation is crap, the nerfs are bad, we know that, zos know that, nothing will change.

Now I get to watch it on a companion as well.

This year has by far been the worst year in the almost 10year history of ESO. As a parent i do not like to advocate for staff terminations, especially how i am a customer looking from the outside in. But i dont advocate for them except in rare circumstances because im not one to get in the way of another man’s meal or his family’s for that matter.
But i think it is fair to say some people should be given clear expectations of them for the future.
One of the reasons the community has been upset so much this year is not just the bad launch and horrendous updates, but also the response of the devs in regard to the community feedback concerning all the disappointment this year.

I’ll give credit where its certainly due:
@ZOS_Kevin , not kissing your butt dude, but you have been the greatest breath of fresh air to the forum sense its inception, keep doing what you do. We certainly need more communication from ZOS, even if its something as basic as:
“hey guys, for this month we got nothing new regarding the server update for pc eu, last we spoke to the supplier it would be x months till new servers are delivered, we will keep updating you on a monthly basis, thanks for understanding in advance”
Something as simple as that would go such a long way.
As much a zos needs more and better communication, ZOS also needs to clampdown on what is coming out to the public comms-wise as well. [snip]
ESO is one of the greatest games ever made, the criticism the devs and ZOS gets should not be taken as hate or trolls but rather should be taken as concern of a community that loves and has so much passion for what you guys have created that we don't want to see it destroyed.

The Elder Scrolls has become one of the most beloved video game franchises, a lot of what is said from the fans including the criticism comes from a place of love passion and concern of.
