It can be acquired through Tier 9 (or lower) writs.

The fix for tier 10 was not expected this week:

ETA: EN rather than EN-GB version

You're thinking of the Frog Metal Buckle, which can be acquired through sub tier 10 blacksmithing writs.

The True Way Clay Dials as per the original question, is still bugged as far as I'm aware.

Ah, I see, yes. Three bugged leads, no mentioned fixes in the patch notes. And Gina said they’d all be broken for console release, so that’s making me think no actual fixes (as opposed to missed patch notes).

It would be helpful to get a list of issues they expect to be fixed next incremental, since it’s tough keeping track of the leads, the block bugs, the encounter log crashes, and whatever else in terms of expected dates. The crash tracker thread was helpful but obviously only mentioned crashes.

Yeah people have asked for a way to track known issues for a while. I can't imagine Gina and Kevin enjoy repeating themselves either, but yet here we are.

I guess I'll just keep sending in bug reports everyday for the add that gets stuck in the wall at the beginning of RG, preventing PB, or the fact that you can't queue for dungeons in a group if a DD is present and the lead is a tank. It's my new gameplay loop. Sign in, report issues that are still not fixed and preventing progression since I don't know that anyone is aware of these, then sign out as it's a long list.

what's bothering me is the ZOS guy said the lead would be fixed in this weeks patch but wasn't in the notes.

i think the confusion is that for a lot of these issues they just say "future incremental patch" as to when it would be resolved

a lot of the time this is interpreted by the players as "next patch", when that may not be the case, but its not always communicated clearly

(and i agree that a issue tracker/known issues list, regardless of how long it is, would still be better than wondering "do they even know?")

Yes, "an upcoming/a future" incremental patch (with the indefinite article) means just that, i.e. not definitively "the next" one (which they otherwise would have said). Unless they specify a patch/date, it's not safe to assume. They've shown that time and time again, including with the block bugs and encounter log crashes this patch. When they are able to commit, they give a specific patch/date, like they did with some of the other crashes in the crash tracker post. And that's not saying that we shouldn't be able to expect a more functional product with fewer major bugs and much more timely fixes, but once they have made a comment about a projected timeline, we need to adjust expectations accordingly to avoid further disappointment.

I do hope they consider doing more of the "known issues" type thing. I don't imagine they'd list everything, but even notice of the major ones (like they did for the "known issues coming to console" post) would be more than they've tended to give in the past and a step towards that better communication goal they're always working on.

exactly, but do you think the average, semi-impatient player reading (or even skimming for what they are looking for) wouldnt just assume that they were talking about "the next coming one" and not some "patch in the near future but not the next one" lol

i dont really hold humanity to a high reading standard anymore for the "average consumer" lol

Because some leads are so unlikely to drop even when working properly the QA team would not have time for anything else than trying to assert that the lead does indeed drop.

you simply edit the % to 100 for test and then change the number back for release.

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en-gb/discussion/622993/can-incremental-patches-be-pushed-to-pts

I made a topic asking them to push incremental patches to the PTS so we can test fixes so these sorts of topics don't come up, or can be addressed with certainty.

The right answer is to tell you currently is "we don't know until tomorrow's patch" or "we got it to drop already of XYZ"

Certain items are simply not ingame yet, one is the kjalnar's mask motif page and another is the clay lead. Other leads aren't dropping off what they are supposed to.

It's understandable that the ones that aren't ingame need an incremental patch, but you would think that if the item was already ingame and not dropping off the right things they could hotfix this. It telegraphs to me that they are messing with the structure of the core code for the blacksmithing crafting writ if they need an incremental patch for it, which tells me there's a possibility of something else getting broken.
