How's everyone liking Firesong so far?

Now that this dropped on consoles, eager to share my thoughts with folks.

I love this zone, omg. And my warden hits harder, so that's cool too.

I completed the zone last night (skyshards, vents, WB's) and fell so in love with this zone. It feels dense, full of lots of little nooks and eye candy. The zone artists are truly world-class on this one. Glimmertarn is such a great place, will add that to my list of favorite locales. Vastyr, which just sounds cool, has some good ambience too. I ran through the mages guild there - such a unique building, if you can call it that. Honestly, my only gripe so far is there's too many doors that go no where and seats that are not interactable. Diminishes some of the immersion, but other than that - stunning work here. The music, as always, really adds to the feel of the zone.

Story's coming up next, will be good to conclude the year's arc.

How's Firesong treating everyone?

I haven't started it yet. I'm waiting for the crowds to die down a bit. I might complete the zone fishing this weekend though.

I love anything that has druids in it and this did not disappoint me.
One of the delves was confusing to navigate though, other then that I love the layout and story around it.

I like it well enough so far. My favorite part is how it looks.the parts of the island that look like high isle again have extreme verticality that's impressive to look at, the jungle area is pretty cool and I really like how vastyr looks.
Also, does anyone know if the house mornard motif is available in game? I love the look of it.

The land, like High Isle, is very nicely done. However, I am not drawn in by the story. I find myself doing other random things rather than progressing it. I also find many of the characters irritating but I can't put my finger on why. I used to explore every avenue of dialogue with everyone but now I find myself wanting to get out of the interaction screen as soon as possible.

The zone is very pretty and I like the city of Vastyr. My poor PVE stamplar however is a shadow of her former self between updates 35 and 36.

There's a little area by the Northeast Vent that has a lot little glowing plants and statues, looks eerily cool at night. The jungle is really lush, they nailed it. The art team is carrying this game lol.

I've only had about 3 or 4 hours into the game so far but I'm dig'n it. Working on the WB's, volcanic vents and delves before I jump into the main story.

Normal routine for me for new zone drop. Go in right away and turn all the WBs and volcano things white on the map since there is loads of help. Then leave the zone until the crowding dies down before returning to quest and explore in peace and quiet. So it'll be quite awhile before I feel able to evaluate the zone overall. No rush.

The landscape, music and overall design are stunning.

The main story wasn’t very compelling, mainly because this one kept wondering what happened to the peace talks and why isn’t the vestige involved in that - and then there’s the rather paltry reason of why the talks haven’t resumed. That was a really low point for Sammy. The three royalties will simply put up with being guarded and not allowed to resume diplomatic talks? At that point Sammy almost gave up on the story. That may seem like an overreaction, but this one just felt like he’s been pushed too far.

And please, never put ToT into a quest again. It was a rather cynical way to promote the card game.

As others said, the landscape/music/overall design are nicely done, as usual. However, the writing wasn't appealing at all. I found myself skipping most dialogues because everything is so predictable and shallow, not to mention the feeling of our character being stupid. Honestly, this last chapter was kind of the last straw for me. The two things I enjoy most in this game (Cyrodiil and questing/exploring/lore) are uncared for at the moment, and the lack of communication/consideration from ZOS to the playerbase saddened me. I love this game, but this is it's lowest point. I had to take a break, didn't even feel motivated to finish the entire new zone.

Can’t clear content someone always gets a bug where you can’t block on Xbox NA the new mark system sucks because you can’t mark two people the same symbol and only max 8 marks. The block bug is a joke and people getting banned for the dk bug. I can’t tell if this is Microsoft’s fault or Zos but Dayum the games nearly unplayable unless you are role playing and questing overland.

It's great, except for that lead that drops from a Galen treasure map and that is part of a 10-part skin.

I didn't play the story yet but I love the region. Looks amazing. The light and color is great! It's a very appealing zone to play.

Until now, the only thing that annoys me, but a lot, is the awful bard in Vastyr... and it never shuts up. The damn songs are boring as hell and completely out of place. Feels like something from another game. Anyway, after completing the dailies achievements I can just avoid that area. :D Everything else I've been enjoying a lot.

The dude where he ends every line in "Vastyr" or something that rhymes with? Yeah, agreed on that. I feel like the bards this have missed the mark for this and the chapter. I'd have expected some cool Irish sea-shanties. At least the overland music is stellar. Brad's the best.

Love the area, haven't done the quests yet - I usually wait at least a month so the press of people there isn't so bad. The music (yeah, not that bard!) is great, and the world building is wonderful! Looking forward to finishing the chapter before the end of the year depending on how much I do in New Life - I need 10 more tickets on my two older accounts both megaservers for the Hourglass, and 10 more on my new account both megaservers plus 20 - 5 for the last pet morph fragment and then 15 more to make another pet; and I'm not really sure if those numbers are right until the Impresario is back.

    Meh.

I feel very strongly ZOS needs to focus on fixing bugs and combat balance and PvP FAR, FAR more than we need new zones. We need what we already have to work properly, then they should focus on new content IMO.

So far it's OK. Been doing side quests, dailies and just starred main story.

The good: I like the design of the zone. i like volcanic scenery. The fawn delve was cool. Like the chimera world boss.

The bad: Some of the writing is not well thought out. When you're talking to the druid and mage from the prequest, you're telling them about the events that took place. Rightfully they give a somewhat snarky response, but I just thought it was lame.

The ugly: An Eye for an Eye requiring ToT to progress. The was unwanted, unwarranted and unwelcome. No side content like that or antiquities should be required in a side quest. Hated it.

I haven't started the quest or explored much besides doing some antiquities there, but I have to say I really like the kind of vertical architectures seen in some places with the tall stairways, and the tunnel-like structures, as well as the natural formation bridges made from hollow tree trunks, etc. These designs are really nice.

Granted, I tried playing it after coming home from overtime, did not have the energy to get into it, so that probably influenced my utter disdain for the day one crowds completely ruining Questing. Maybe I'll get on tonight and just, walk around without doing the story.

The zone is very beautiful, especially the fiery jungles to the northeast. I found the ruins and statues scattered all over the island fascinating and I do hope we get druid structural furnishing plans eventually. There was a pettable cow in Vastyr that gave you guts and red meat after you interacted with it and I was saddened that random absurdity was removed. It wasn't a bug, it was a feature!

There weren't a great deal of side quests and their quality varied: Llanshara's was so hilarious I was sad to complete it, whereas Raz's forced me to play ToT (lousy move) and involved a shipwreck stuck in a cave far from water. A rather short and simple quest involving a dead sailor was surprisingly touching and I do hope to hear more from that adventurous chef in Vastyr.

Galen's main story was interesting, though I spent the whole time wondering what in blazes it had to do with High Isle's. The connection is eventually explained, but I found it disappointing. As for the Ascendant Lord, he was far less interesting than he could have been, though kudos for his good taste in armor and his cool Darth Vader voice.

*Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion, and is in no way an attack or disparagement of the people that worked on this year's story, I'm only referring to how it affected me.*

Positive: Absolutely beautiful little zone, completely gorgeous! It has some of everything, and I think the design is great, though I wish there were an inn room we could purchase for ease of travel, since some wayshrines are quite far apart, but otherwise I love it. Also, I am a huge fan of them taking something established, like a fire atronoch, and giving them weapons to mix it up and change their attacks, awesome!

Not so positive: Some elements of the writing have been bugging me since the June release, and it rankles even more in this last DLC, and I have it nailed down to one thing that especially rubs me the wrong way, I think. I mean, shallow story and forgettable characters? That would be no problem! I can roll with that and still have fun, but to completely dismiss and discount who my character is and what she has done in this world? That made me so sad.

MERCENARY! This is what they call the player character this entire year, and it just burns my britches! What happened to VESTIGE, HERO, or even ADVENTURER? Those generic forms of address at least didn't make it feel like our character was just another dime a dozen, money-grubbing, muscle for hire... I actually ended the story feeling depressed, and wishing I could go back and replay Summerset and Elsweyr for the first time again, because those story characters not only had great, compelling stories of their own, but they knew my character, and they acknowledged and recognized her impact on the world around her. Not so with High Isle/Galen. What I have always loved most about Elder Scrolls games is how the world knows what your character has done and reacts to it, but I didn't feel that at all in this year's story, and I won't be taking any other characters through it.

I'm sure this is probably a ME problem, and maybe no one else cared or even noticed any of this, but just sharing my honest opinion and how it made me feel.

Also, @SammyKhajit , I just conceded the card game, and the quest progressed with no problem, but I share your annoyance about how that was shoehorned in there.
