I have completed this quest, properly, several times now to no avail. After speaking with Jorvuld and selecting "Cure," nothing else happens. It's bugged and hampers my progress.

    I feel ya man, it wouldn't trigger for me for a number of years despite completing it on all 18 characters in every iteration.

    I've reported it several times over the years.

    The achievement finally popped last week for the pledge. I wish I could tell you what to do to make it work.

    Here's the date between the first time doing the quest and the achievement finally popping...

    after much experimentation with this achievement, while the achievement is listed under the "general" scalecaller achievements, it currently is only able to award while completing the dungeon on vet difficulty (although it should likely be allowed to obtain on normal difficulty since it is in the general category)

    while doing the run you also have to interact with the 2 "side" things before fighting zaan
    1. item 1 is the nereid corpse after the giant matriarch boss before going into the door
    2. item 2 is at one of the alchemy tables after fighting mortieu

    if you have both items it will give you the option to cure him granting the achievement (as noted this only grants the achievement on vet, it can be done on normal, but it does not award the achievement on normal)

    i have also seen this act very buggy if people go back through the door outside of the area where you fight zaan

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    @Necrotech_Master I have completed on vet numerous times, interacted personally with the two items in question, hit "Cure" in the dialog with Jorvuld after defeating Zaan and not going through the door. It just doesn't work.

    it might be one of those things that they periodically break lol, because i think i had to try it on vet a couple of times to get it to actually work correctly

    this achievement is very janky to say the least even though it shouldnt be lol
