Bots and Harrowstorms, it was a cold rainy night....
Well here is my tale of woe on NA PS4. It was a cold rainy night in Bal Foyen and I ventured to this lonely area of the world to complete my gather 100 resources endeavour. As I zoned in I was immediately impressed with how many players where actually in the zone. What amazed me even more was how many were out in this dreary weather and without umbrellas I might add! Then I noticed a strange thing, each and every one of them were level three mag sorcs with pets! Even stranger was that every single one of them had names that made no sense. Began to get a little creepy so I ran as fast as I could to the southern most portion of the island only to be met with hordes of these very same players. I finally settled on the fact that they might possibly be ZoS NPC's that had struck out on their own throwing off the chains of enslavement. I decided to just forget it and began gathering harvesting nodes, I really needed some jewellery materials so settled on pointing myself toward available platinum seams. AH HA I exclaimed as I saw one only to be beaten to it by fifteen of these wayward NPCs. This continued to occur and after about ten attempts I gave up and decided to go to Craglorn, sadly the same thing occurred so I ported to Khenarthi's Roost only to be met with an entire army of these nefarious mat stealing things. I decided one last thing to do was to port to Stros M'Kai as perhaps they had not made it there but sadly I was mistaken. There were probably five thousand of these evil characters! I gave up and just went and did crafting surveys and completed my weekly endeavour.
After that fiasco I decided to pull a harrowstorm daily Western Skyrim! MISTAKE! I ran from storm to storm only to be met with at most two other players. We could not complete any storm even after screaming at the top of our little lungs for assistance in zone chat! I had not ventured to the zone in quite some time and was not prepared for how desolate it was. Left me wondering it I needed to form an eight man group from my guild just to complete the daily!
Seriously folks the bots are out of control. It's impossible to harvest any ore from any of the starter zones. It's gotten to where the bots are all over the place. It's something we on PS4 have gotten used to and I normally just ignore the darn things however I've never seen as many as I did this week. My guess is ZoS cant delete their accounts for some reason, maybe as the info is routed through Sony or something but can't the mats be tracked as to who the bots hand them off to? I know for a fact that this could be done in an old game called Everquest. Then delete those accounts that are selling the mats on the guild traders?
And the harrow storm was not in jest. The darn things heal up faster than three people can damage them. The storms need to be toned down just a tiny bit. Not to the point they can be soloed but at least where three people can handle them.
