Just killed a world boss and it counted, but I did so in Coldharbour. World bosses are the only ones that count for this endeavour.

Maybe you killed one in the new zone, and that didn't count yet. That would be a bug.

No. I killed the Lost Caravan WB in Alik'r and got the endeavor.

There are certain world bosses which don't seem to count for the group boss endeavors for whatever reason, similar to how certain dungeons don't seem to count for the dungeon endeavors. Also, some world bosses didn't give an event coffer and tickets as they should have. For instance, I know I did [edit: soloed] Dubdil Alar shortly after the nightly reset during the last event and got no gold coffer and no tickets, yet I got them as expected from a different world boss (Nilthog?) right after that. And I know that Crypt of Hearts I does not seem to count for the dungeon endeavors.

My guess is that it may have something to do with the nature of the boss, such as a pair or trio of bosses that must be killed (e.g., the two Khajiits in south Northern Elsweyr, the boss in the crypt in west Stonefalls, or Salothan's Council in Vvardenfell)), or a boss where something additional needs to be done after killing the boss (e.g., closing the breach after killing the Dubdil Alar boss), but that's just a guess on my part.

Note that, to the best of my recollection, Salothan's Council does seem to give event rewards and endeavor credit as it should, despite there being four bosses in one, which seems to contradict my guess, so undoubtedly it isn't as simple as I suggested.

IMHO, if anyone has trouble getting event rewards or endeavor credit for a specific group boss, dungeon, etc., the best thing to do would be to post the details (which boss, what type of reward or credit didn't you get) in the Bugs forum so the devs can investigate. I should have done that with regard to Dubdil Alar and Crypt of Hearts I, but I neglected to at the time because I thought I remembered that those had already been mentioned in the past as being problematic. But some sort of running list in the Bugs forum may be helpful to the devs, not to mention to the players as well.

Just wanted to note that when doing a world boss which has multiple bosses, you need to do atleast 3% damage on every single one of them to count as killed(for quests/endeavours/etc). For example the duo high isle boss, the daily quest won't complete unless you damaged them both.
Not in all cases, but most of them! For that reason I always just damage all bosses, just in case.

I got completion on the three druids WB even though one was already dead when I arrived at the scene.
