World Bosses - Too many people - Most people get NO drops

The absurd rule that prevents people getting a drop from a world boss that they have been actively present and fighting for, should be scrapped at once. GIVE US THE LOOT WE DESERVE.

Just because you're not in the top 10-12 damagers when there are 40 people there means you're frozen out of actually being able to get loot from it, especially if some of said damagers are exploiting the dragonknight glitch that we already know about.

Make world bosses behave like Elsweyr dragons - if you're there and you damage it, you get the loot!

didnt they already hotfix the DK bug yesterday morning?

i do agree though that it is very annoying sometimes for overland boss encounters to prevent loot drops if too many people are hitting them, i think that kind of defeats the purpose of a WB

dragons and harrowstorms feel like better "world bosses" than actual WBs lol

Totally agree with you OP, I mostly do Worldbosses on my healer and it I never get loot when there are 40 or more killing it.
Someone mentioned in game a fragment or lead drops from the new worldbosses in Galen.
People like me will need to wait till the zone will get less populated to be able to farm bosses.

You still get credit for completing the area even if you don't get loot, and frankly, there's no good reason to shut people out of the loot.

And you don't get "100 level 10s standing at the sidelines not helping and doing 1 light attack at the end for credit" with dragons - and there are only five of those - so you wouldn't get that for World Bosses, of which there are a lot more.

basically, it's a "solution" to a problem which does not even exist, and even if it existed as a phenomenon, wouldn't be a problem.

Not only does the limit need to be removed, but the boss health really should scale with the amount of players attacking for at least a month.

You need to do the amount of damage that corresponds to 3% of the WB health to be able to loot it - eg: WB has 1 million HP, you need to do at least 30k damage to be able to loot it.
I'm sure the top 12 "rule" only applies to Barathrum Centrata (IC Sewers).

    2. loot drops scale to level

kind of answered why you might see a lot of low levels around. The bosses are crowded now because of the new antiquity lead. If loot dropped for all that were in area players would park a character there to try for the lead. It might not always be a low level but you know it would happen like when people parked characters near dolmans long ago.

A couple of weeks from now (probably not that long) it won't be an issue either way. Just like the treasure chests that dropped the lead. All kinds of uproar about that lead for the first few days and then nothing.

Same here. My healer's instinct when there are loads of players around is to simply weave heals with resto light attacks to keep her damage down - so all present get a chance to help kill the boss. Don't really care about the loot but I know many folks do and there really is no reason to punish healers and tanks trying to do what they're built for. Or courteous dd's who want to hold back giving others a chance to get some hits before the boss dies.

As far as I know, I have never failed to receive loot from these caches, but I still fully agree it's not fair.

I would be happy if they switched from 'top contributers' to 'random 10 people get loot' even though I would miss out.

Though, of course, I'd also like a severely penalty for those who don't contribute such as a month long ban and removal of all of their gold (I know it's a little harsh, but hey - we can all dream!)

Would be nice if they included ways for tanks and healers to be involved. Not sure how they could make that happen though. With healers I suppose just a base number for healing other players? Can't do taunts for tanks though as that could lead to tanks competing for the taunt.

As I said above though this is usually only a problem for a short period of time. I don't bother to go to new zones for at least a week except to fish because I don't want to compete with the crowds that want instant gratification.

i guess everyone handles that stuff differently

for me, i have no lowbie toons right now as they are all cp level, so it usually makes sense if im intentionally farming a lead to use my main so i can scry and dig it immediately unless the lead is behind content that my main cannot efficiently run (i can solo dungeons on my main but because hes a tank it takes 3x longer than if i use my dps toon for example)

even with display leads addon i still sometimes forget i even have leads active if i dont dig them up right away, im still also kind of used to when the leads were "bugged" and didnt expire ever if you had dug it up before (i really liked that btw, its kind of annoying they expire now)

In my experience, I've never seen a ton of low levels waiting to do one hit on the boss at the end. I don't see why they shouldn't get loot anyway even if they did. It doesn't effect my loot in any way, and if I'm strong enough to help a lower leveled player get a piece of loot that might encourage them to keep playing, then so be it.

Without it, we'd have the bots standing on the sidelines light attacking one spot over and over for hours so they get a guaranteed hit - again. Auridon had a real problem with this for a couple of years, especially at dolmens. Pretty sure this change was partially to address it.

Otherwise, I do agree - but unless content is new or theres an even like the past two (High Isles event and Witches Festival), this usually isn't a problem.

I agree. I'm pretty sure ESO already has enemies which scale to the number of players so they could scale world bosses up (or down) based on the number of players involved in the fight, including low level ones and those not using all their skills. Keep the requirement that each player must individually reach a minimum threshold for participation to be able to get loot, but remove the cut-off that limits it to a small number of players.
