About the recent crashing...

We are working on a fix on our end; the soonest we'll be able to get this out is the first incremental patch, currently scheduled on November 14.

You'd think a bug that literally prevents a good chunk of the playerbase (the ones that use addons) from playing due to consistent crashes, would get patched within like a couple hours, maybe a few days, tops.
And yet we're expected to see a fix only within 2 weeks?
By the Eight, I'm too tired to even be frustrated at this point.

✭✭✭✭✭Any possible fix for an issue as big as this one needs to be tested. That is after they find the cause and implement a change. Seems to be quite a few things affected by the update so chasing down the cause will take some time.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."0 -

Node detection library is only added by things like Harvest Map. If you disable the library in the folder under Harvest Map, you should be able to use the rest of your addons. Also, disable the "hide followers in towns" setting if you have it on as it seems to cause some crash issues as well.
I'm running 76 addons without any crashes since the update - because I don't have anything that inserts the node detection library.______________________________________________________

✭✭✭✭✭You can still use Harvest Map; the node detection library just displays new nodes in an entered area. I've got several friends who use it, and are still using it after removing the library; everything else works in Harvest Map still.______________________________________________________

It's NOT ALL addons that is causing the crashing.
It's just NODE DETECTION.
And you can turn it off at the character select screen by clicking Addons on the Left side and scroll down to Libraries and uncheck it there.
Or by doing what @TaSheen said.
I choose to just uncheck it in Libraries in Addons on my character select screen and have had no crashes.2 -

Yeah, I phrased it that way because two of the friends had to remove the library to stop the crashing, the others just disabled it and it was fine. None of us use the same selection of addons of course!______________________________________________________

Mm, well then that's a problem, as I use HarvestMap.
I've disabled that NodeDetect thing, and Harvest map still works. The only thing I see different is the "respawn" option, where it used to show you what you have previously harvested only if they are currently spawned. Now all the previously harvested places have the pins even if they are not spawned. (that's where node detection comes into play... detecting the nodes that have spawned or not...)
I'm still able t play but all the pins, etc, are always visible where I have harvested something. It seems a little weird, but I'm already used to it showing the pins even where there s nothing there.
