I think she would like to be a vampire but is far too fond of fire, which as we know damages the undead...

I can't say I've heard Ember say so directly, however after delivering a killing vamp bite to my prey, Ember often, and with much enthusiasm, responds with a "WooHoo!" or "That was fun!"

That's just a generic response she has in combat. She doesn't say anything about being a vampire, quite the contrary
she feels very uncomfortable about her friend becoming one.

Also, if you have done her quests OP she's far from a "psychopath". She's not even that evil or mean. More just having had a tough upbringing which has made her somewhat morally grey with a focus on survival.

In her quests her motivations seem reasonable and I felt sympathy for her situation. When she's out and about as a companion I found her less sympathetic. I do think she's yet another case of the High Isle companions having inconsistent characterisation.

As for the vampire thing, I can't see her being into it, she's just overly enthusiastic during her battle cries. As someone with a vampire main I can confirm all companions but Isobel respond positively to vampire feeding (of enemies) because they treat it like a normal attack.

I'm aware it's a generic response. That doesn't change the fact it's hilarious, and somewhat disturbing at the same time, to hear it at the moment you sink your fangs into you victims neck.

Welph by all means lets help her do that, though I would also want this to be applicable to Isobell and Mirri too. Bastian can rot in a ditch elsweyr.

Ok, so what is your character? She only attacks when you do. A psycho would be attacking things first. She is only backing up your actions.

You know Vampires are immortal right? that only happens if you get yourself killed, also it is not like you cannot pledge your soul to someone else or learn a bit of soul magic.

Yes, but everyone is likely to die at some point. "Immortal" or not. All is needed is someone with the skill or luck to end your cursed life and poof. Not every mortal would be familiar or even desire to pledge themselves to a different prince, and learning soul magic is not going to stop you from ending up in Coldharbour.

Soul Magic lets you revive on the spot essentially making you truly unkillable, how do you think Mannimarco keeps reviving himself or the Vestige post-getting their soul back, many Lichs who refuse to die are likely masters of this magic as well, Lichs who die and don't come back probably were probably not good enough.

No it doesn't. The whole constantly reviving thing is unique to the Vestige because their animus is changed to one similar to daedra, and Mannimarco doesn't do it to the same amount and he's considered the most powerful necromancer in history. Necromancers escaping death is not new.
As for liches, one of the main traits of lichdom is that you will become a very unique type of undead who breaks the boundaries of magic limitations and also death. Becoming a lich is very tedious, difficult and not to mention dangerous process that will divest their soul and mortal body, which requires someone to already be a master necromancer who is knowledgable in how souls work. Being able to refuse death is the point of lichdom, it's not some spell they learn. Liches who die likely do so because of all the dangers and consequences lichdom have or they made themselves a weaker lich.

People aren't casually learning soul magic, nor becoming vestiges, master necromancers, or liches, and then reviving themselves like it was a lesser ward spell. Being able to revive yourself is extremely rare, and to the vast majority of people in Tamriel becoming a vampire is not desireable and will condemn their lives and souls.

Yeesh, not all vampires in TES are monsters. If anything Men and Mer have done much MUCH worse and more often. So who is the real monster?

    Defense aside.

It would be nice if we could change them to vamp or ww. Nice RP in an MMORPG

I think even the most sympathetic vampires in the ES world understand that they are monsters. They can do their best to control their monsterous nature but they are still undead, blood drinking creatures, created by The Lord of Brutality. The average person in Tamriel probably has no burning desire to become a monster and suffer eternal servitute in Coldharbour. For those who do succumb to it, their existence is likely short, brutal and rotten.

Don't get me wrong, I adore vampire stories and as much it would please me to turn be able to turn my companion - I think it would be near impossible to do justice in terms of story telling or features.

Of course not all vampires are monsters, nor did I claim they were. There's nuance and exceptions to all things. But most vampires are either mindless monsters or cruel and evil people, which has shaped how most cultures and people of Tamriel see them.

And what Treselegant said pretty much. There's no way they could implement such a feature and make such an extreme change towards a companion be sensibile from a roleplaying and storytelling view.
