EU PC pvp server performance did reach new lows

I recently have not played much eso, but I noticed how bad the performance got. The primary campaign is unplayable after 1-2 pm CET, but the population is as low as 2 bar per faction. This means even if I want to play this game after work, I cannot because of the abysmal performance.

Even the battlegrounds are fighting with some lag now. How can this be fun?
Ice Furnace: This item set now grants Spell Damage, rather than Weapon Damage for the 4 piece bonus

It's not. My most common PvP experience:
    • Try to get some skills out
    • Log off

Sometimes I'm stubborn and try a bit longer, but it's just self-flagellation at this point.

While I usually would agree, this time I won't.

Server performance has been decent for a while now, except for Gray Host.

Even with bigger 3 alliance fights me or my guildies haven't noticed lot of lag. Comparing to last year, server performance was way worse.

    Still, it could be better
    NB enthusiastic:
    1. Woodhippie stamblade - DW hard-hitter / PvE
    2. Know-it-all elf Magblade - Healer / PvE & PvP
    3. Hate-them-all elf Magblade - Destrostaff AoE monster / PvE
    4. Cyrodiil-Refugee stamblade - Stamina Tank / PvE

    Go dominion or go home

Nightblade-Hipster. I played Nightblade before it was cool - from 1.5 onwards.

    Are you talking about EU?

For me EU is totally unplayble, considering they lowered the max number of players and that alliance are almost always not locked I would say that the state of this part of the game is shameful.

Good to be reminded that we are not alone.

On PS EU i am not sure about a new low. In the last few years it has been better and way worse. Remember the time we could not use siegeweapons without getting kicked from the game? Or the time when we got stuck in endless loading screens in the middle of fights? And i am not sure if it is the "server performance" or some other sort of artificial scarcity (is this the expression i am looking for?). It does not feel like they can not give us more performance. It feels like they choose to not give some parts of the game the performance it deserves. Because one day it can be extremely bad and the other day it can be way better. You can see it best when the whole area you are fighting in slows down, almost nobody can use skills anymore and some people start to disapper. It feels like they want Cyrodiil to die a painfully slow death for some reason. I do not believe this to be true, it would be stupid, but it does feel like it from time to time.

Since the maintenance in the middle of the PvP event in August, Gray Host is dead on Playstation EU. Because they broke the performance on Gray Host and almost everyone moved to Blackreach or PC NA. There are not many PvP players left, and it is annoying to fight the same tanky groups and tower monkeys all the time. Performance has been ok on Blackreach. But it is very empty and there is not a lot of action. Sometimes there is more action, but then the performance problems are getting worse again.

Yes, their inability to solve the performance issues and fix bugs is shameful and it sucks the fun out of the game.

For me (casual and playing mostly out of prime time) EU server is playable but when I press a key the assigned thing definitely could happen more consistenly. Performance is not only PvP issue.

I’ve just moved over from console to pc after big break from the game don’t know how you guys have put up with this performance! Its much worse than console and it’s still bad over there.
Lag is game breaking I’m getting killed without even knowing I’m being hit!
How long has it been like this?

PC EU overland and dungeons are even laggy messes at the moment.

As someone who switched to na a while ago and is currently only occasionally on eu, i can only confirm this. Even overland fights or dungeons felt like a big hole.

Latency is pretty well but all the fights feel very bad and slow. The only thing that works pretty well, are the instant slows, roots or stuns from stupid npc scripted gameplay. I`am not willing to say that this all is zos made, there are some more reasons i`am thinking about, but for me there is no reason to play on eu anymore.

Edith: Since countless pvp player left PC/EU there is an constant imbalance between the alliances. Even on Blackreach with 10k more points to the second place (after 15 Days!), what should be the motivation to play there? What should be the motivation there for new players and why should experienced player go there and doing groups while they hear year after year the same slogans in streams or letters?

This is probably why on PS NA GH we have had such an imbalance in the population worse than usual for the last couple of months especially in our off hours.

It would be very helpful to get more frequent updates on PVP and the status of server performance and improvement plans.

I appreciate the updates we get, but it still feels like there is a very limited/tentative commitment to making pvp a quality part of the game.

I haven't had much trouble playing in Cyrodiil on PC EU lately, although it certainly isn't perfect. But I don't use any flashy skills or proc-heavy gear, and no OP Antiquity gear. I don't generally run into a lot of issues when using my melee-damage Stamina skills, unless I'm fighting players who are presumably using a lot of flashy skills or proc-heavy gear. Also, I do keep my game's graphics set to low quality, because my computer wasn't designed to be used as a heavy-duty gaming machine.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

What, PCEU Cyrodiil is totally playable! Just don't go near any action happening :D
