New Rapid Strikes Animation???

why change the animation? the new animation looks awful and feels so clunky. Before the strikes looked rapid and precise like an assassin, now they look like your just swinging your weapons randomly hoping you hit something. This is a Huge L and totally unneeded.

    My first thought when I saw it was "it looks like a teenager throwing unskilled punches".

    I actually prefer the new one sine it fits axes and maces better. Swords are a thrusting and a slashing weapon so I would say that regarding the different type of weapons the new one is better. For daggers it's of course worse since they are very short weapons.

    I mean the new Flurry animation goes well with Rending slashes and whirlwind making a brawler weapon based character more prominent. The BEST thing however would be different animations for different weapons! Making everything viable.

    OR.. you own equipped weapon with the bright gold effect and rapidly swinging it or stabbing etc

    Honestly the rapid strikes animation is even worse than the new jabs animation. It’s hard for me to admit that as a Templar main, but it’s true. It really looks like it belongs in a free-to-play mobile game. How did this get past QA?

    I hate the new flurry slashing animation on my Nightblade. It looks much slower with her arms slashing around all over the place and I can't clip it anymore to do more hits. Everything else is alright, but this is just awful! :(

    New flurry animation and jabs animation are cheap and worse than the originals.

    I loved the old flurry animation but the new one looks horrible and is harder to weave with.

    man...ALL animations are pretty , pretty bad in this game. Older games even have way better animations, Age of Conan, SWTOR just to name two with EXELLENT animations. It is the first thing that got my attention in this game: like the light attack DW animation...your char LOOKS AWAY from the enemy...the more acceptable ones are the One hand Shield ones. It is like they just create whatever on their screens without having any real life movement reference for any weapon!

    The new jabs animation change noone asked for is also horrible

    I play with swords or daggers, and the new animation looks horrible.

    No, the animation is objectively worse. By every standard principle of animation it is a less successful effect. It’s slower and less dynamic. It has less visual flourish to distinguish it from a light or heavy attack. The body movement is significantly more robotic and has obviously been implemented by either an amateur or someone in a rush.

    It may be good that it better suits some weapon styles, but as an actual animation it is worse.

    I don't understand how people in charge thought the new animation is better than the previous one. Every time I use the skill I am scared that my character would hurt herself with her weapons. I doesn't look better as if I would try rapid strike in real life. It is so painful to watch that I will probably remove that skill until someone does something for it.

    I think the new animation is better, it looks much better while moving. I really like that these channelled skills have been standardized to .8 seconds.

    They could literally speed up the animation of 4 LA's and it would still be better looking than this.

    When I saw Templar class DPS player who keep poking dungeon boss enemy by new spear animation,
    then something laughable breath pop out from my mouth. :D
    I almost forgot to taunt against boss. Because, that new animation was extremely weird and hilarious.

    Just...bring back old animation immediately.
