Ability to change traits on Companion gear?

It would be really nice if we had the ability to change traits on Companion gear like we can on player gear. I managed to get a Gold piece of companion gear during the high isle event however it wasn't in any trait I need. Perhaps in order to do so you have to find an extremely rare bound item like a special ore or something?

    It would be easy to implement with transmute crystals and a transmute station.


    They would have to make it high cost so as not to completely cheapen the experience of finding good companion gear.

    I was thinking that as well but then that would lessen the market for companion gear. (It's nice to get a purple I don't need and be able to sell it).

    Seems like it would be a nice perk to be happily playing the game and once in a great while acquire the item that's needed to change the trait. Something that's really non-farmable.

    Either way I'd be happy as now I have these gold companion gear items I'll never use sigh.

    How did you get a few gold pieces of companion gear? I only got 1 ring from the event completion reward .. as did my other friends. Did you get anything other than a ring?

    I also feel we need ways to upgrade and change traits on companion gear .. I have been playing with a companion all the time since they came out and think I have only gotten 1 purple piece of jewelry so far .. refuse to buy it on principle .. so yeah I have crystals to burn .. let me!! :)
