Since my previous thread (started in Aug 2020) passed its second birthday and got closed down, I am reopening it once again. This might be the third time lol.
PLEASE GIVE US A HIDE TABARD OPTION. It's all I want for my birthday and christmas. Let us hide it!
-The things are ugly.
-We want to show our guilds off and STILL show our awesome outfits, motifs we have collected over time.
While I am at it, I would also like a slot for the Mara Rings, so we can use all normal gear sets and not lose a ring slot.

Dangranma_Burgrukgad✭✭✭✭I want to add that closing threads that are still relevant only because are old is very bad in my opinion, the fact that somenthing hasn't changed in years add value to the request.
Closing it seems almost as you (ZoS) want to hide the fact that you are ignoring people request.
We have been asking for this thing like forever, if there are technical difficulties please just tell us, it would be better then ignoring what it seems a very simple request.

Gaebriel0410✭✭✭✭✭Totally agree, we should definitely be able to display guild names without displaying tabards.
And speaking of tabards, they should get a major update as well. The current symbols you can put on them are mostly fiddly squiggly daedra nonsense.
If you look at High Isle they made some great looking heraldry with striking designs, why not implement that knowledge into the tabard designer as well? The key to good heraldry is simplicity, so designs can be recognized.
Currently I basically don't know any guilds by name, unless I've happened to see them listed at a trader or Cyrodiil keep.
I think a revision of the guild heraldry would be a great community improvement.1 -
DrMuggle✭✭Hide tabard would be AMAZING!!!! I'd pay crowns to buy an outfit token that let me hide whichever pieces of my outfit I wanted (not just my helm). Hear that ZoS folks, I'd pay you real actual money for this feature.4

No, when you join a guild nothing forces you into a tabard. For those who like their guild and want to represent it, they can purchase a guild tabard from the guild store for 2k and put it on kinda like you would a disguise for a story quest. It's basically like wearing a tapestry over the front and back of your armor with the guild emblem on it and whatever colors the GM chose for it. It also makes a display of the guild name under your nameplate and title, etc, for those who have nameplates turned on.
I'll always co-sign a thread asking to hide the tabard because I always like wearing mine to represent, but would prefer just the title to be there so that my armor/outfit isn't half-covered with it.PS5 NA. ✭I'd love to be able to hide the tabard as well, fortunately for me, I only wear my tabard when PVP'ing and I use a costume in PVP so it covers the tabard, would be awesome to be able to do this other places.

People want to advertise their guild name like a billboard without wearing the identifying feature that amounts to a billboard. I don't want to see your guild name any more than you don't want to wear a tabard, it's a fair trade off.
Low energy/effort suggestion. No impact on gameplay, objectively i'm neutral on this, subjectively i'm a -1 on this.

If anyones answer is “just take off the tabard”, realize that many PvP guilds and trial guilds like to have their guild mates wear a tabard when they do events or group up. Also tabards are ugly.3 -
