Companion gear drops from the event?

Has anybody actually gotten any companion gear from the event? Was it any good?

rootkitronin✭✭✭✭✭I've gotten 3-4 green pieces from the event containers - nothing to write home about though. I did have a companion active each time I opened one, so that may be part of it, but that's just speculation.
Anything in particular you're looking for? I'm on PC-NA and rarely use companion gear, so I don't mind keeping an eye out for a specific piece.0 -

Well your companion has to be out, and it has to be a High Isle companion. Isobel or the weird cat woman. Other companions do NOT give bonus companion gear related to this event.0 -

✭I've seen a lot of people out and about with their Blackwood companions handing in their dailies. I do wonder if the news that they have to use Ember or Isobel to get companion gear from the boxes has reached them. Probably not.3 -

Well your companion has to be out, and it has to be a High Isle companion. Isobel or the weird cat woman. Other companions do NOT give bonus companion gear related to this event.
I've been following the rules on that, pretty much. No companion gear drops so far.
Uh -- do we know exactly when the companion has to be out? On quest turn-in? First look at the reward box? Something else?1 -

I have lots of companion gear. That said, very little of it except the weapons is purple quickened. (My skillbars tend to be mixed enough that Quickened always seems like the best trait.)
But mainly, I'm interested in drops because some still appear to sell for good prices.

this is something i can agree with. having to unlock the companions on alts is depressing so out of my 12 characters only 2 have them unlocked, only the one has all 4.

✭Day 1 - handed in 7 daily quests and farmed a lot on PC and NA, so 2 gold boxes and 20 purple boxes. One blue augmented bow...
So that legendary companion gear...#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.2 -

dutchusuk✭✭✭12 hours playing the event, 3/4 comp. drops, sold to the merchant. Maybe iam colour blind but tot me it was only green and blue.

✭From tallies I made after the release of Bastian and Mirri the drop rate of purple was 4-5% of total companion drops.
EDIT from combat
While leveling both to 20 with all weapon skill lines I got 600-700 drops (and my CP went from 900 to 1200)

Out of 18 characters, I can think of only 2 on whom I've unlocked more than one companion. And that's 1 more than I had yesterday.
A few characters who I don't enjoy playing have no companions at all.0 -

Yeah... it specifically states the legendary companion jewelry only comes from the boxes within boxes within boxes reward at 100% unlock not any other source. If you already have the desired epic companion gear, you're not going to get anything better doing this. Why is it only jewelry, because it would be the least impactful to their stats. Watch as everyone gets Augmented or Prolific.2 -

There probably should be something similar to what they've done with tutorials - "you have done this quest on another character do you wish to do it again?" type thing. I didn't mind the length of the Blackwood companion quests as they're pretty quick to run through but the High Isle ones are much more of a chore. Particularly Isobels which seems to go on forever for some reason and had a habit of glitching out completey when I tried it. Making it so the player can't unlock a door by picking it as to draw out the length of the quest was particularly frustating when the quest was glitched on release.
I have Ember and Isobel unlocked on one character and that is the one character who is going to do the dailies for the event. I'm not going to be rushing to unlock them on my other characters, when I'm just going to ignore them afterwards anyway, just for the sake of the event. Especially when rewards have been pretty mediocre so far.2 -
