Spell Resistance no Elemental Resistance?

I found this Addon:

So i can see more Information about Stats but i always have 0 Elemental Resistance but softcaped Spell Resistance.

So my Question, what damage is reduced by Spell Resistance?

Elemental resist is not a stat that's listed on the character page in game. I have no idea what it refers to. Should probably ask the author of the addon what it's suppose to be tracking.

I mean with Elemental Resistance: Fire Resistance, Frost Resistance and so on
Try to eqiup a Glyph or an Item with Fire Resistance and you will see the Difference.

So the Question again, is a Fireball: Spelldamage, Firedamage, both or what?

The characterpage hides a lot for player and its frustrating.

I don't use that addon, so I'm not going to see it in game, is what I meant.

My understanding from Spell Resistance is that it decreases damage from magic attacks. Basically the attacks that say they do xyz amount of magic damage. I don't know whether it also effects elemental damage. My guess would be probably not as there are specific elemental resistance glyphs and such in game, but that's just a guess. I have not done the research for that sort of stuff yet as I've not come across anything where it seemed necessary.

There is no such thing as Elemental Resistance. There is Fire, Shock, and Frost. You can gain these through enchantments or racials.

But spell resistance interacts with it so it will still help you against all forms.
