If you stop to think, we already suffer because we dont have addons to help doing trials, and in a trifecta such as Godslayer, it took us a lot of time to swap gears. On PC the wardrobe addon helps a lot and its free. With update 35 our dps is already lower than before, allowing us to swap gears on trials would at least compensate a little for the drop of damage.
Ps: I know some people will say its a paywall since its something you have to buy, but I dont see any difference now that they will allow us to use it on cyrodill and IC.

✭✭✭✭✭the armory system (and the 2 base slots) are technically free and part of the base game
the paid aspects of armory come from the assistant and extra slots
the assistant is still not going to be allowed in the pvp zones, so thats still a free bonus
i dont really see the armory as paywalled unless you need more than 2 slots, or you want the convenience of the assistant

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

You did mention this but it is important because in Cyrodiil and Imperial City it is an armory station not the armory assistant. There is a major difference in the two.
And usually in PvP land time a prompt change of gear isn't going to change the standings.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."2 -

TFPACESoul ShrivenI know its not the same thing, and in other circumstances I wouldn't suggest that, but its really hard to do VSS in 30 min with the U35 damage and without swapping gears fast. The ideal would be not depend on that, but this game doesnt help with the updates0

Ksariyu✭✭✭✭I wish they'd go the other way actually and discourage gear swapping period. It cheapens the value of a build and a character when you're just a mannequin swapping entire setups on a fight per fight basis.3

This was my reaction when they released the armory assistant. If they truly cared about QoL and not having pay-to-win aspects in their game the armory assistant would have been a free addition to everyone. By not making the assistant free - or even earnable in the game like Pirharri - no one is one equal ground, and console players won't be able to benefit from a QoL feature that has been exclusive to PC players for years without forking over the cash.
