Most useful healer for dungeons

I'm returning to the game after a few years of not playing. I used to main a Templar Healer but from what I'm seeing Templars and healing in general aren't as good as they used to be.
So what is the most useful healer for 4 man content? Which class do tank's and dps perfer to play with now? I'm going to level a new toon so I can remember how to play again, so I'm totally open to any class. CP is around 400 if that changes the answer.

Warden has most useful toolkit for healing and supporting now, but everything can change with any update.

    PvP - Recruit.
    PvE - Dragon food
RPG - A guy who thought, that he can defeat daedric prince, yet guards still chase him off when he accidentally touches some object during daily writs.

    Nightblade.

    1. Refreshing Path can be used running between mobs to give everyone major expedition and get the group going quicker
    2. Sap Essence - powerful aoe that's also a heal, allowing you to contribute damage while filling your role correctly. Your passives allow you to re-gain magicka and stamina on enemies who die within 2 seconds of damaging you, allowing you to spam down to nothing but refresh to full with enough enemies in the group.
    3. Refreshing Path (again). Provides major resolve without taking up a slot, meaning you benefit from the resilience and can take more damage to focus on keeping others alive.
    4. Siphoning Strikes and Incapacitating Strike. Provides extra recovery while helping to dps if necessary...
    5. Funnel Health. Damage ability that heals - quicker fights = fewer deaths.

I'm not gonna say they're the most powerful healer, but I will say their regen and damage-based healing really help in 4 person content. The biggest concern is probably how few synergies you provide.

Any class besides Dragon Knights that isnt already in the group. So yes, literally any! And even Dragon Knights would work if you want to eagerly play them as a healer.

If you have already a Templar DD or Tank another templar healer isnt that great.
Same goes for Warden, for Necro, for Sorc, for Nightblade. Also Sorcs and Nightblades are kind of redundant.

But the templar might be the easiest to start with, they just have easy access to anything a healer is supposed to do and everything works straight forward.

Wardens are a good starter and endgame option, too. They are very easy and straight forward.

You cant do anything wrong with this 2 classes (warden & templar).

A little bit less obvicious is the sorcerer, which could be also a decent starter option, because they are great for healing very chaotic fights and in small groups especially less skilled players because of the 360° Auto Aim 2 Target "Oh Sh.." strongest non AOE Burst heal in the game and Power Surge on top of Echoing Vigor which are 2 HoTs that arent stationary and follow you while provideing already plenty of healing, so that you just can reposition quickly to the place where healing is needed most. Also the Atronach is an intersting Damage and Support Tool now, especially in small groups.

But all of them will share several of the same skills no matter which class you choose.

It very much also depends on your group and how/what you play. I enjoy playing warden a lot, and have done so as both dps and occasionally heals. But I struggle a bit with trying to do both in dungeons, and find it easier to contribute damage with some healing and the occasional strong healing burst as needed when I play Templar.

this might not be a popular opinion, but if you're only looking at healing rate then you're short-changing your healer. Healer is a complex role that involves buffing the group, debuffing the target, and doing a fair bit of DPS - all in addition to healing the group.
imo templars are still great, wardens are great... i enjoy running a necro healer (colossus smash is fun!), although i'm seeing less demand for that with tanks running turning tides and the nerf to empower...

Really depends on lots of factors, such as:
    • Are you playing normal or vet? If vet, are you doing DLC dungeons? If doing vet DLC dungeons, are you doing hard modes?
    • Are you playing in an organised group with friends or guild mates or are you playing in PUGs, e.g. using Dungeon Finder?
IMO there is nothing wrong with templar. Puncturing Sweeps was nerfed, but it still heals you and it still does single-target and AOE damage. It's a single skill you can slot for damage, boss and trash damage, while loading up the rest of your bars with heals and support skills. If you're playing in PUGs you don't know what you're going to get. The PUG may need healing or it may be more beneficial to do damage.

Are you playing normals? No one may need healing. Blow some bubbles, make sure to activate Spell Power Cure, then use Sweeps to contribute to damage.

Playing with DDs that have no damage? Might as well do damage. As a tank, I will be grateful.

Playing with competent players? Buff the group. Try to bring Major Courage and other damage buffs. Possibly Major Vulnerability, which only some tanks provide.

Playing with PvPers farming something? Forget it. They don't need healing. They probably have built-in self healing, because they're used to that.

Playing non-DLC vet dungeons? Still so easy that actual healing may hardly be necessary. Inexperienced / low level players may need healing, or good players who are specced to the teeth for damage and have no self-heals.

Playing DLC vet dungeons. Yeah, OK. Now you better bring some heals.

Playing DLC vet hard modes? This is the only time you really need to be on your toes. Everything helps here, damage buffs, HOTs, AOE heals, burst heals for someone in trouble, including the tank. Perhaps even something like the Pearlescent set, unless you're going for no death.
PC EU: Magblade (PvP main), DK (PvE Tank), Sorc (PvP and PvE), Magden (PvE Healer), Magplar (PvP and PvE DD), Arcanist (PvE DD)
PC NA: Magblade (PvP and PvE every role)

Class does not matter as much as equipped sets. DDs and tank usually have emergency self heals, but they cannot buff their own damage - its healers task.

Everyone but DK because DK's miss something that let's them stand out. Warden offers strong output & awesome buffs. Templar offers easy healing & dispell. Sorc offers easiest spamable emergency heal. Nightblades got bufffed and now offer an additional buff as well as speed. Necromancer first and foremost because of his ults. So no wrong choice here. Pick the one whose class fantasy interests you the most and you will be fine. If you are very unsure however, I advice checking out some healer and healer build videos on Youtube. You can check out some gameplay, animations and recommended skills. This will be the closest you could get to an informed decision.

As long as you fulfill your role it doesn't matter for dungeons. Templar healers have fallen off in trials because their minor buff is covered by the dk tank if I recall correctly (stam meta) but they're fine in dungeons. I don't even always notice what class the healer is. Nb is a good one for dpsing while healing but other classes such as warden, sorc, and dk can do that too.

Funnel Health the Nightblade skill combined with Refreshing Path and Healing Orb is enough to heal every dungeon in my opinion. Group can also benefit from the Minor Savagery as well.

But for most safety Warden healer would be nice because of the Maturation passive which gives ten percent more health when healed.

Dungeons are in this game designed in a way that you really do not need the sheer perfected team to achieve the most hard achievements there. So any healer with any class would do.

Templar is still an excellent choice for dungeons. I've been running it before and after patch. I have a NB that heals well, too. But if I really wanna heal/dps, Templar all the way.

Still Templar as far as I'm concerned. If you get into the fine details of min/maxing Warden might be slightly better these days but not enough to make a meaningful difference.

I have a Templar, Warden, and Sorc healer and I still prefer the Templar.
