20 runs is just about perfect

I would just like to say that I am a big fan of the curated loot boxes from the event. Starting to think something similar should be around at all times (maybe toned down a bit without all the opals, lol). Perhaps, a curated weapon from the second to last boss, perhaps curated chests above a certain difficulty (intermediate to master), perhaps a box on the last boss just like we have now with a curated item, and chances at things like Motifs (for that dungeon), Transmutes, and Keys.

To Farm a dungeon to completion is roughly 40-45 runs, three of which need to be on vet for the shoulders. I believe in RNG, but I also know that on multiple occasions, the weapon I was after dropped within the last 3 possible runs. During the event, its more like 20 runs, which I think is just about right. Not too short, not so long you want to stab yourself in the eyeballs. A reasonable effort for a reasonable reward. It would still take over 1000 four man dungeon runs to fill your book.

That is all,

Bear

I think chests should be curated as well in any difficulty of the dungeon and any lockpick difficulty. If you are lucky this way you can get three items from a single dungeon or even four.

I agree - especially for those of us with less than max characters. If you have 8+ characters, you'd be surprised how quickly just running the daily random normal on each of them will fill the sticker book.

To mediate this and to push people into harder content though, I believe this should only be a thing on veteran. There should be some tangible reward outside of a monster mask for doing veteran. Currently, doing a random normal gives you the same number of transmutes & XP after a random veteran, which is absurd to me. Outside of achievements, there's absolutely no incentive to run veteran dungeons.

I feel like the new dungeons (Graven Deep and Earthen Root Enclave) did struck a nice balance.

The chests are curated as long as they drop something. So you might still get nothing, but if you get something out of a chest it will be something you don't have.

Work hard, and you will be rewarded. Spend wisely, and you will be comfortable. Never steal, or you will be punished.

I would also like to see perfected monster masks for doing hard mode. Even if it’s just an extra recovery stat line. Just a little added incentive.

    perhaps curated chests
Currently there are curated chests in the two new dungeons. Unsure if deliberate or if it's a bug. The more I ran those dungeons, the more I thought it would be good to apply to other content.

They could just add a curated set piece drop into the pledge reward You clear the pledge, turn it in, and get a set piece for the specific dungeon you cleared.

As someone with the worst RNG luck possible, I'd like to see curated drops everywhere. PVP rewards, loot boxes in IC and Cyrodiil, any situation where gear is acquired should be curated.

I think they already did a lot by changing the system to curated drops.

Remember it was not like this before.

Also, there are players that are not putting a foot anymore in specific dungeons as they have everyting from them.

Hurring the system so everyone has everything asap is not a good idea.

Reason I don't ever want to be in certain dungeons is not that I have everything from there, but that it took too many runs to get everything from there.

I did not know that. I like it.

Been around a long time. Trust me, I know how it used to be. I dont believe this is hurrying the system. Like I said, I think a target of about 20 runs to fill a book is a reasonable balance.

Yes, I have been absolutely LOVING this event. Not for the rewards - but for the opportunity to finally back-fill my Sticker Book from a whole bunch of DLC dungeons that would have just been prohibitively annoying to farm otherwise.

Also very strongly agree that it feels like the way that the game should be by default.

This event has definitely helped me put a dent in my sticker book. I would also like it to be the norm.

I’ve never had the problems with dungeons gear after introduction of curated drops. It’s easy and fast to farm it on normal as you can queue as tank and solo the whole thing with whatever pugs finder gives. On the other hand getting perfected trial weapons is absolute pain. For something like siroria/whorl/sulxan/olorime destro/daggers or saxleel ice and so on your are looking at more than 50 runs if you’re unlucky and unlike regular sets in dungeons mobs, chests and coffers aren’t even dropping perfected sets in veteran trials. Pugging through craglorn is really messy and farming runs in guilds could be rare at times. At least curated coffer for a veteran completion with perfected weapons is a must.

I think the Curated Drop test has been successful.

Now they need to make part of the regular game.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

As someone that mostly runs vet trials, and pretty much always has the perfected versions of sets, I would LOVE for there to be a mechanism for crafters to perfect certain types of gear. Just spitballing, but perhaps once you have filled your book for a certain item, a 9 trait crafter could reconstruct a perfected version, maybe at an increased transmute cost.

I also think that you should be able to run say 3 perfected pieces and 2 non perfected pieces and the perfected bonus would be 3/5s as powerful. It could actually give some notion of progression.

I was originally a fan of perfected drops, but I think they honestly do more harm than good in the grand scheme of things. One of the biggest issues is that some of the extra bonuses are garbage, but some equate to measurable differences.
