in place of a stamina consuming roll-dodge?

Functionally, they would do the same thing, except for the fact that they would consume different pools of resources and of course have different animations.

why or why not?

I would also like to hear thoughts on a mana-consuming break-free.

As a potential mythic or passive tied to weapon choice, maybe?

As a CP node that only costs a different CP node I'm not big on it. A weak break free and roll economy is an iconic weakness of a mag build using mag weapons and giving them an easy way around that would prune the expression of build diversity even further.

We have shields and can still roll dodge. I like how the different there is a difference. Especially since we have had enough homogenization.
