Companion Keepsake

How exactly does this work? I see that I've earned one and it's listed under collectables. The description says it provides a passive when carried. However I can't find anything for my character to carry. Nor do I see it listed anywhere as a passive ability currently in effect.

So just how does this work?

Each companion offers a specific perk when you have them summoned, i.e., Ember has a chance for hidden wallets from pickpocketing. The keepsake means that you now have a chance for that perk without having the companion summoned. Nothing to carry with you, it's applied all the time. I've looked for the passive listed also and it's not, but I do get the perks.

    Thank you.

Does the passive apply to all characters you've created or only to the character credited with earning the achievement?

Account wide as far as I know since the keep sake is in collections and the account wide achievements means all your alts automatically have it as far as I know.

I have gotten the extra potions from Bastian's and the extra sacks from chests from Mirri's on alts that have done nothing with the companions beyond their recruitment quest. Haven't tested it on alts that have not recruited companions though.

I'm 90% sure toons that haven't recruited any companions still get the keepsake passive.
Edit: Just logged on and checked. 100% sure. Has Bastian potions on a toon that hadn't recruited any of them.

Isobel's passive is the chance to get a loot bag from bosses.

The keepsake is accountwide, and as much as I loathe Bastians', I have to admit, he makes a pretty good tank, and is still my go to companion, have yet to touch the new ones

It was account wide before the AwA system was implemented earlier this year.

It's account-wide. AND the keepsake even works for characters [on your account] who have not unlocked that particular Companion.
