In Memory of HEAVY & LIGHT Attacks (what was your favorite set up?)

I was mostly PvP
These are just the ones I ran over the past 7 years, that I had farmed endlessly especially when Maelstrom was harder, golded out the sets, before ESO decided they were bad for the game ---- they don't fit the desired goal o endless mobs of 35k health builds all running proc sets like Dark Convergence or high regen stam builds that can easily run away the moment they take any damage and have people chase them around a tower for 15minutes... but anything that doesn't fit those two META playstyles Needs to Go.

My all time favorite may have been the Sheild Breaker on the Lightning Staff. Why? Because It was during one of the strongest Sorc Meta's, and it was totally one dimensional. I was newer to playing DPS, my friends told me it was dumb and I was one of the first to try it. A stam set on a mag toon, that only had value against really Sorcs.. Was it cheese, sure. But if you are totally selling out a build, to only counter one other build I don't see that as a problem.[
I think the real problem is why are 80% players running the exact same thing when you have 5 classes(at the time) and 200 Sets???

- and I know I am missing some.
Elegant (20% dmg to Heavy and Light, when Light Overload was king) Long Dead.
Sheild Breakerr (+2200 dmg under the shield. Wicked on a Lightning Staff with DK wings bouncing stuff back) Long Dead
Knight Slayer (change many times, used to damage every tick on a Lightning or Resto, then did Oblivion) Severely Beaten to a memory of itself
Sargents (Fully Heavies only but +3000dmg, later converted to +3000 weap/spell dmg.)
Undaunted Infiltrator (must use a magic skill in combat then 10secs +2000dmg, later converted to +2000 weap/spell dmg.)
Undaunted Unweaver (must use a stam skill in combat then 10secs +2000dmg, later converted to +2000 weap/spell dmg.)
Noble Duelist (damage with a Light or Heavy attack in melee range +2400 for 5sec. Good for Heavy Overload or Stam)
Infallible Aether (+1000dmg on Heavy, brough Minor Vulnerability) I had a PVE build pushing 50K pars on the entire group of enemies. It had a use case
Maelstrom Staff +1400dmg on your Heavy when they were standing in the Wall of Elements) loved it with Frost, then swap to Lightning or Heavy Overload.
Spider Cult (was highest dmg set for Staffs at one point) still ok, but the "Staff only Bonus" being only 300 or so more than like New Moon or something? why.
**Proc Friends. --- some of the things I would use for fun that weren't directly Heavy or Light but would compliment.
Ice Furnace amazing set would add 2000dmg? to everyone around your target if you hit them with Frost.
Thunder Caller (16k Proc, +AOE DOT.) Overpowered yeah.
Hrothgar (Scaling Dmg. Ignored Resistance) Overpowered when it stacked, and ball groups didn't like that. Nerfed
Turogs Pact (cranks up your Glyphs) potent in the days of Daedric Glyphs vs Vampires.
Heartland Conqueror (doubles your Weapon Trait) had some cool builds coupled with Turogs Pact. 14k Deadric Enchant. Good on a bar swap heavy build.
Winterborn (12k proc nerfed to 6k proc) Damage was instant, fun with Ice Furnace
Way of Fire (as high as 8k? every other tic, I think it's 4k now)
I know I tried a bunch more over the years, but I'm not looking at old vids, I've obviously spent enough time in this game to where now I so despise the direction it's gone the past two three years It's disheartening.

MOLTEN ARMAMENTS The last piece of a PvP MAGDK remaining for me.
Wings no longer bounce back damage
Talons like all CC's are mostly worthless
Stonefist no longer stuns
Fossilize you can go minutes in Cyrodil unable to target anyone
DOT dmg is absurdly weak if you can even get 500dmg per tic
AOE DOTS are equally weak
and a Dragon Leap (assuming you can target it) will likely just be shrugged off by the 35k health healer ball

Oh well... It was a good run, I probably should have quit when the rest of my friends did...

Hope you know that undaunted infiltratator and unweaver had last patch's nerf reversed so they add direct damage to heavy attacks again. Same for some of the other heavy sets. You should check them out.

It was not reversed. It was one more time overnerfed.

It becomes PVE only with low stats, that is no reason to use in PVE. It already was weeker than a lot of sets before.
With HA of lightning staffs lose 1 hit its damage fall even more.

The set changes were reversed for PVE, almost back to their original pre-nerf values.

Originally we had Patch 6.1.5: These sets now increase your Light and Heavy Attack damage by 1685 for their duration, rather than increasing your Light Attack damage by 774 and Heavy Attacks by 1161.

Then they were nerfed in Patch 7.3.5: Undaunted Infiltrator and Unweaver: These sets now add 2014 Weapon and Spell Damage to your Light and Heavy Attacks, rather adding 1685 damage to these attacks.

Now the current Patch 8.1.5: Undaunted Infiltrator and Unweaver: These sets now increase your damage done with Light and Heavy Attacks against monsters by 1645, rather than increasing their Weapon and Spell Damage scaling.

I really liked old school kena (which used to proc by simply weaving light attacks but had a 30% cost increase) and old school siphoning attacks (1k mag & stam return), which allowed you to sustain kena.
