5 straight nights of freezing and disconnects

I play on an Xbox Series X NA from Southern CA. I have wired half-gig fiber and literally never have connection issues or slowness on my connection. For the past 2-nights in Blackreach PVP I've had horrible lag and crashing to desktop. I cleared cache on my Xbox for the game, rebooted my router, rebooted my switch, and rebooted the Xbox. I ran a speed test and get 500mbps+ up and down and have no dropped packets or latency to any other IPs out on the public internet. When I ping 198.20.200.1 I have "Request timed out" on every 4-5 packets. I've proven without a doubt that the issue is not on my side (I'm a head Network Administrator for a phone and internet company). Is ZOS going to do anything for the Xbox NA connection issues? This is 2-nights in-a-row and affects PVE also. I ran a dungeon and the same thing happens. I have places where the game partially freezes and I don't see the enemy doing anything for a while. It's difficult to even play PVE or PVP and nothing I can do on my side will fix this. There has been constant dropped packets to 198.20.200.1 for several minutes straight. I've been watching it for 10-minutes and nothing has improved. I can ping any other public IP and the connection is 100% fine with super low response times. **Forgot to say this packet loss started at about 8:30 PM Pacific time last night and as of about 11:00 PM my time had not improved at all.** This happened the night before as well (Wednesday night)

Pings are still dropping about an hour later. Sometimes 2 in-a-row. If I ping anything else I have no dropped packets.

It would be nice to have a reply from ZOS and an explanation of what's causing this and what they are going to do to fix it. I literally could not play the game last night and just had to log out and turn it off.

Make it 3 nights now. I'm dropping packets to 198.20.200.1 again. Is this due to the free play event? Others I'm playing with say their performance is ok. I'm in Southern CA and mine is garbage. I even factory reset my Xbox and downloaded the whole game again and I can't play for the 3rd night in-a-row. Don't know what the heck is going on.

I run a trace route and after my last Frontier FIOS hop which is #5 I get:

Request timed out for hop #6
    Then hop #7 is 4.69.210.141
    and hop #8 is ZENIMAX-MED.ear1.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.71.220.10]
    and hop #9 is 198.20.200.1

A lot of packets are dropping even when I ping hop #7 which is 4.69.210.141

4th night in-a-row where I'm constantly crashing to desktop and if the game works at all it's in slow motion. This free-play event seems to be a very very very bad idea.

"Request timed out" to 198.20.200.1 again repeatedly. Over 10% packet loss to ESO servers with no internet issues on my side.

Anyone know if there is any real technical support for ESO? If so, what is the phone number that I can call to speak to a human who can help me get back to playing? I submitted a ticket online reporting that I can't really play the game (even PVE performance is so bad I just have to quit dungeons because I can't help the group) for the past 5-nights and all I received back was a canned reply saying that my feedback was forwarded to the proper team. They did not answer any of my questions and nobody tried to help me resolve my issues in any way.

It seems like nobody at Zenimax/Microsoft cares if I can play this game at all. I've spent thousands of dollars on the game at this point and the company that I gave the money to doesn't even seem to care if I can use their product or not. I run speed test on my Windows PC which is hardwired into the same network and get over 500mbps down/up. I run a speed test on my Xbox Series X on the NA server from Southern California and I can't even get 100mbps up/down. Some of the times I run the speed test it gets only 40 or 50mbps. I don't know if such slow speed are normal on an Xbox Series X when hardwired into half-gig fiber. The Xbox seems to be running hot and I don't know if that's normal. I took the Xbox to work this morning and ran speed tests again on 1-gig wired fiber and I still get less than 100mpps when running a speed test. I was able to go into Grey Host and cast skills without much issue this morning. So things seem to get really really bad for me once people are home from work/school here in the US. Most people in the US are at work/school right now. So it seems to me the problems are on the Zenimax side with their servers. But such a huge slowdown in performance the past 5-nights or so doesn't make sense. In the past I could run normal 4-man dungeons and the performance would be fine even at night. Not for the past few nights. I can barely cast skills in PVE/PVP, I have frequent disconnects, and have long periods of frame drops where I miss seconds of action at a time so something is majorly wrong.

The free play event made the lag worse on PS, you probably have the same thing going on at Xbox.

If it is better today (event is over) then that was likely the cause.

I saw that the event was happening and told my PVP guild about it. Performance was so bad that ZOS should literally not have events like that. What is the point of trying to recruit new players if their experience is so bad that nobody would want to come back and play ever again? I couldn't even run 4-man dungeons a couple nights ago. Last night seemed better but PVP in Grey Host during prime time was so bad I couldn't fire most bow skills. People were literally just light attacking because it was 1 of the few abilities that people could fire with any frequency. If it's going to be like this at least until the servers refresh next year then I will probably have to take a 9-12 month break.

Switching from PS4 to PS5 improved combat in Cyrodiil for me, but there are still occasionally failed bar swaps and skills that don’t fire. I’m on Gray Host campaign.

Sometimes the lag is due to a large group of enemy players in your area, like when they converge on a resource especially (for some reason it’s not as bad at keeps) and you just keep hitting buttons and nothing happens. It’s sort of like a Zerg detector if you get the lag up-front.
