Argonian people still can't swim under water
Well, new dungeon environment design is great. But, just those "bubble" is not thing
which I expected. Basically, there're not much race benefit in the ESO. :(
My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.

Keep in mind it's on the sea floor underneath the ocean. That you can breathe underwater doesn't matter there. The comoression and pressure from just being that deep underwater should kill anyone, including Argonians. Consider that bubble protecting you from this.

The ocean in ESO is just an animated texture plane. If you were to fall beneath the water in ESO, it would just be a bunch of brown textured hills and nothing else. They don't need to do anything else because swimming underwater isn't intended.

Of course I thought same thing. But, we need little bit more creative game design don't we?

Not just Argonian personality problem, I want totally new feature for the group dungeon.
Many people say that group dungeon is just painfully gear farming place.
It's a year 2022. 8 years form 2014, right? New dungeon is a just underwater aquarium.
(or Bioshock in the ESO) Only landscape is great, but no completely new aspect.

Just I want something dwarven combat submarine, or underwater huge monster fish boss.
Or, shooting underwater torpedo launching tube against last big underwater boss from facility
, and kill it within limited time until all underwater facility destroyed by last boss.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQ2z_AWUBlk

I felt that new dungeon was just lack of new idea. It's a aquarium version FrostValut.
1500 crown is too much expensive for the new dungeon.

Underwater swimming will never exist in this game unless they completely redo the physics and get better servers hahahahaaaa and if Zenimax wanted to take the time, effort, and money to do that they would've done so back when the game was still in testing. I mean, I would just be happy if they at least made it so I didn't get dismounted in like 2 inches of water.... but even that is probably asking for too much. Oh, and fun fact I like to always remind people of; this is also why we don't have capes in ESO. They attempted them back during the original beta, realized they were causing major issues and decided to just scrap them. 10/10 game design.
On another note, I would recommend GW2 for underwater fun. They have a whole combat system specifically for it with different weapons and abilities. They even added personal boats with their newest expansion that you can sail around on.

I saw that scene at the youtube once. I've never thought such type of combat show up in MMO game. :o

Everyone can swim under the surface of the water if you drop from a high enough altitude. Swim in any direction and you swim for a few strokes under the surface.

The NPC casts the bubble so if you want an immersive explanation then I suppose argonians having water breathing didn’t cross his mind. That or the portal automatically applies the bubble… like a bubble wand.

Same, I was surprised when I first stumbled into the water and saw my weapon and bar change entirely haha it's a really refreshing experience. Makes going under the water less of a chore and there's even an underwater mount you can unlock through the main questline, but the new boat (skiff) is definitely one of my favorite things ever haha and WoW also has some good underwater zones/questing, but the combat doesn't change or anything like in GW2.... but still better than your horse just deleting itself when you step in a river.

Underwater fights were a thing back in the early 2000s in DAoC and it was awful. People are underestimating the effects of a third dimension in terms of orientation and awareness. I'm not even touching the game mechanics like AOE's etc.
It is one of those things that sound nice on paper but is actually more of an annoyance than an enhancement of game play.
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Agree to disagree haha I love GW2's underwater combat. AOE's work since they are set to just lock to a target rather than a clickable area and the weapons specifically for the water combat make sense (harpoons, spear guns, etc). Oh, and there's rebreathers so you don't have to worry about drowning. I do think what you described does apply to WoW's underwater combat slightly, but not so bad that I would prefer them not to have it. It allows for a lot of interesting zones and good use of the map. And some people just like the idea of the mysteries beneath the sea so denying players access to it in this day and age of RPGs is just quite bizarre. Unless it's a game like RuneScape or Albion Online.... don't think going underwater would ever work with that kind of set up haha

You think that is bad, imagine how the Vampiric Vestiges feel about this little Lich calling them mortal every 5 seconds.

Well vampires are in a way a mortal. At least in the sense you're not daedra, spirit or such, but a mortal who got a disease that made them immortal. Which technically includes a lich as well, so kinda stupid they'd say it.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

I really enjoyed the Vashj'ir underwater zone in WoW - biggest issue I had with it was crap internet (yeah, like worse than now) with mega-ping (back then it was over 2 full seconds, and more than that to the EU servers I had characters on) so combat was a pain due to the lag. It was a beautiful zone though, and the quest line was fun.

I don't see anything like that happening in ESO - IIRC this engine doesn't allow for a Z axis.

    [Edit for typo]

Yeah your the Vestige who can use creatia to reform whenever they are killed, in comparison to you the Lich is the mortal.

The moment you have significant race benefit the forum is full of complaints about this race being over-powered, that race is under-powered etc, not to mention all the lore fanatics taking to the forum to remind us all how the races were in TES  !
