In-Character Introduction:
*
A poster may catch your eye...*
To all you out there who think you've got some backbone...
The Dominion has tasks that need to be fulfilled... And we have tasks of our own. If you want to earn some coin the easy way, and in great quantity, the Reapers Vanguard are looking for all and any to fill its employ.
We live for ourselves, we fight for ourselves, and we earn what we can for ourselves. We are contracted by the Dominion, which fills our pockets well enough, but we're looking for any to increase our influence, and provide us with more to call our allies. If you think you've got what it takes, well...why don't you let us test your will, and your strength.
And if you can't fight, if you can't even hold a sword...We've got somewhere for you. We want traders, craftsmen, and even just citizens to fill our little home... Who knows what you could achieve...
Seek us out.
Signed,
Titus Septimus,
Captain of the Reapers Vanguard
General Information
On an IC Basis:
The Reapers Vanguard are a band of mercenaries built on a group of outsiders to the Aldmeri Dominion (However, they won't work for any other faction), residing within the Reapers March region of Valenwood.
While they are contracted by the Aldmeri Dominion to perform tasks ensuring the safety of the area, they largely go about their own ways, performing their own contracts, and enjoying themselves in their own manner...
They are loyal to one another, and they never leave a job undone. Some of the Vanguard are honourable, some are not. Some have devious methods, some get straight to the point
by putting an axe in someones face...
But all are welcoming, and there are few that aren't welcomed within, and won't be initiated with great applause and cheer.
What they care about is the coin that they receive, and the enjoyment that it provides, as well as the power they can hold beneath their hand. Despite this, they are fair in their approach to their own, and to others. Those that contribute, or deserve appreciation shall be rewarded. Those that do not, shall not.
The Vanguard is led by an Ex-Imperial Tribune (Officer, and leader of four hundred and eighty men in a Cohort). He is bold, but wise in his own way. He makes quick but well thought out decisions, and acts harshly to those who intend to do no good. He is not one to be crossed.
On an OOC basis:Style: Heavy Roleplay
Faction: Aldmeri Dominion

Website: http://www.thereapersvanguard.enjin.com/homeWho we recruit: All with a few exceptions. We have a few rules set to werewolves and vampires (See rules) We also have a 16+ age policy, due to the content of the guild may be unsettling for any younger than this.
Location: We are currently based around the Hadran's Caravan area of Reapers March.
The Ranks of the Vanguard:
Combat involving ranks:The Captain- Currently Titus Septimus, the captain is a bold and fearless leader. He watches over all, and is very careful, but quick with who he deals with, and how he deals with them.
Lieutenant- Lieutenants are the most trusted by the Captain. They regulate tasks, as well as keep order within the settlement that the Vanguard reside. They make decisions when they are required to, and can call judgement on most situations.
Sergeant- Sergeants are well trusted mercenaries, who aid in leading groups of the Vanguard on contracts.
Mercenary- The Mercenary is the standard unit for the Vanguard. They are relatively well trusted, and are known to do their job well, and efficiently. They have a well heard voice within the Vanguard.
Initiate- A mercenary on trial. While all in the Vanguard are treated fairly, an initiate is watched closely to ensure their trustworthiness, and ability to aid the Vanguard, before being given their rite of passage as a full standing Mercenary.
Non-Combat involving ranks:Craftsmen- Craftsmen are invaluable to Vanguard. They allow it to function by providing it with the resources it needs. They are well respected, and any that prove themselves can be promoted to ranks of seniority.
Traders/Merchants- Traders and Merchants are essential to the needs of the Vanguard. They allow the Vanguard to bring in produce and items that we cannot produce or construct ourselves, as well as assisting in bringing some extra coin to the settlement. Any that do their job well will be rewarded appropriately.
Citizen- All those residing within the settlement that the Vanguard holds are treated well, and despite not being part of the contractors, they are expected to respect the upper ranks and not cause hassle. Those who prove themselves can be promoted to custom positions such as advisors, ambassadors, and more.
The Rules of the Vanguard
1) Have respect for others. Do not be offensive or speak of controversial topics which could be offensive on the forums, or in game. Do not argue in guild chat
2) Make an effort to type in full grammatical English if possible.
3) Try to attend events when possible. If you're online and only leveling while an event is about to start, we do expect you make the effort.
4) Do not go against Lore in the formation of your character story or traits. However there is nothing wrong with something unique as long as it's possible and not over-the-top.
5) If you have issues, discuss it with an officer or the Guild Leader. If you have problems with an Officer, speak directly to the Guild leader. DO NOT under any circumstances bring up issues you have with people, or further drama in the guild chat or on the forums.
6) If you wish to change the position you have within the Guild, inform an officer.
7) We will accept werewolves if it remains unknown that you are a werewolf. However we shall also accept werewolves in the circumstance that only the Guild Leader and/or officers are aware of the affliction. We shall accept Vampires if vampirism is kept in the early stages when present for RP, and it is unknown that you are a Vampire. We shall not accept known Vampires, or people who are obviously vampires by appearance.
8.) If you want to make a suggestion about the Guild, do so to an officer or the Guild leader, rather than speaking about it in guild chat, as we may have alternative plans already in motion.
