Isobel's Favor Patch Note Question

So, thanks to the developers for fixing the broken dueling aspect of the Isobel's favor achievement set. But I'm curious about the patch note:
"Fixed an issue where the Isobel's Favor achievement might not increment due to a race condition."
What in the world does that mean? I haven't talked to anyone for whom this wasn't broken. Why was it a race condition? Like as in because she was a Breton?

✭✭✭✭✭a race condition is a programming term where it is basically trying to update 2 things at the same time and one will fail
its basically saying the achievement with the requirement of doing a duel with isobel active is now fixedplays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)
