I used to PVE exclusively from Summerset(when I started playing) until about a year ago. I ran vet everything I could get my grubby little hands on and was pretty good at it. About a year and a half ago I got hooked on PVP and have rarely PVE'd except to obtain an item like a mythic etc. I haven't PVPed since the patch either due to working on High Isle achievements. I've been reading about the combat changes and have just relegated them to normal changes and figured they would not be that bad.....

I was incorrect in my assumption. Last night I was doing the weekly endeavor where you complete six group dungeons. I was soloing Fungal Grotto One on Vet and noticed a significant difference even on trash mobs. I made it to the final boss and finally just gave up and restarted on normal. Keep in mind I just run to the one boss you have to kill to open the door and then jump off the cliff to avoid all the others. I can say it was NOT fun, it felt like wading through molasses. Honestly I've quit this game once before due to combat changes that were made to a few toons and if it's this bad then it may be time for another break. I understand the changes are probably due to power creep and ZoS is trying to lower the curve but at the expense of loosing the enjoyment of the game?

    I tried fungal grotto 2 on vet. Everything felt too long now. It helped me see how boring older fights truly are now

    Same here with a geyser in Summerset. Could solo them last week but gave up this morning after getting killed twice. The fun meter reading on combat has decreased dramatically and I feel like I am working hard simply to regress when it comes to combat. Who knew my elf's 25k dps was so elite that it needed to be nerfed to below 20K or that my accessibility to content needed to be decreased?

    They failed to consider how non top tier players will adjust to changes. Like we need another tutorial to help give baseline damage.

    Also la and heavy attack nerfs hurt access to content for most people especially new players. @ZOS_Wrobel buffed them to help common folk and it worked. Now we will see people kicked more often and experiences divided in tiers because they forgot why it was buffed in first place.

    I'm thinking once I'm done with High Isle achievements and if I find that PVP is just as affected it might be time to move on. Normally don't complain about changes combat wise but it's the same reason I quit WoW years ago, woke up one day to find my favorite characters combat totally changed. I'll wait and see how PvP goes once I get back into it. I can't imagine how trials are now the harder ones.

    Yep....my DK was hitting 66K solid pre patch...I haven't even bothered to try and compare now. One of my guilds requires 70K and a clear for vet trials...those making sure I won't be doing them. Good job in screwing us mediocre players ZOS.

    Comparing will help you fight for changes to adjust it back
