Skeletal Mage Stealth Nerf or Bug?

In U35, the Skeletal Mage and both of its morphs saw around a 50% damage nerf per tick when compared to U34. This change was NOT in the patch notes (in fact, Skeletal Archer was supposed to receive a BUFF, not a NERF).
ZOS, was this an intentional nerf that was left out of the patch notes? Or is this a bug somehow? If it's a bug, can we expect a fix with the incremental patch the week of the 5th? Would be great to know for sure so necros can know whether or not to keep the skill.

Despite not being a DoT it received the same blanket nerfs that the rest of the DoTs did.2 -

Would be nice to hear a dev confirmation on it. Even if it was a stealth nerf, it's a much more heavy handed nerf than any other DoT, which wouldn't make much sense.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭i think the skeletal archers buff was an increase on the stacking dmg (+15% instead of +5%), but i noticed this too that the base dmg was pretty low (granted i checked it on a tank, it was still a bit lower)plays PC/NA

Yes, but the notes made this seem like by buffing the scaling they were intending to make the skill stronger. Doesn't really make anything stronger if the entire skill got a base 50% nerf0 -
