In the time ZOS is referencing shortages, the company I work for has
- designed
- Built and
- Procured 50% of storage, switches, blades, whatnot
for our new data center. Some of the hardware orders completed mid-year have been issued beginning of the year.
I don’t think the delay in updated hardware is meanwhile in any form or way connected to remaining shortages.
Or they seriously need to change the guy/girl doing procurement.

I doubt Zos is going cheap on servers, which is likely what your company did and why they got equipment faster. There's no surprise there'd be huge delays for this stuff, did you not pay attention to what the last two years was like for everything, everyone?
