Nirncrux sources in Craglorn: Have they changed?

Someone a few days ago was claiming in zone chat that they had collected nirncrux from a rune node. I thought that was odd since, as far as I know, nirncrux's known sources are mining/cloathing/wood/jewelry nodes.
Well, yesterday I killed a group of Welmas in Craglorn and I got a Potent Nirncrux and a Fortified Nirncrux in the loot!
Is this a bug? Never read nothing mentioning changes to nirncrux sources in patch notes.

✭✭✭✭✭I have never heard of nirncrux dropping from enchant nodes. If someone claims they got a nirncrux in an enchant node, I won't say it's impossible, but more likely they are mistaken and it was earned in an ore, clothing, jewelry or wood node. I'll also echo what others have said in that it can drop from any mob in Craglorn that drops refinable leather scraps, including those in the zone trials there such as Aetherian Archive.0 -

✭I am sure I've found nirncrux in an enchant node before. I mean technically they attach to equipment, right? Alchemy nodes definitely don't work.1 -
