We should have an option to play with random players

I've been noticing that the group finder for ToT is programmed to join the same two players over and over again until one decides to give up. I find it seriously pathetic. I prefer the way TESL is programmed, to constantly play with different players. Probably some players enjoy it the way it is now, but it would be really nice if we have an option to not repeat players at least for a couple of hours, so we could be able to be matched with random players.

It is random, its likely you two are just the only ones queing at that moment.
If you're finding this pattern is happening, take a break and que later.

Everyday I'm always matched with one or two players in ranked, and then it keeps repeating. I tried that today, stopped for about 40 minutes, and when I returned I got again the same player. Even if there's only two players online it would be nice to have the option to not match with the same player repeatably.

I understand that, but the problem is not playing with people in my "bracket", the problem is that the game seems to be designed to allow continuously repeating the same opponent. I tried it today, and in the last 2 hours I was always matched with the exactly same player. They should give us an option to not repeat players at least for a few hours. I'd really prefer to change players in every match or, if there's no one playing I'd prefer that it doesn't launch a match at all (since it seems that very few people play in ranked).

Since I reached Voidsteel I have been matched with the same handful of players repeatedly. I even wait a minute before queuing again to try to avoid a repeat opponent but sometimes it happens anyway.

I'm not sure it's necessarily a matchmaking algorithm flaw so much as it is...the population playing ToT is limited, and within a specific bracket in ranked, even more limited. As a thought exercise, would you rather wait 30-40 minutes for a match if it's a different player than the last game you joined?

Makes no difference. Yesterday and today I decided to pay only one ranked match per hour... I still get the exactly same player. I mean, today it's not the same player of yesterday, but usually I get stuck with one or two players everyday. I understand that there's not much people playing, even so, it still feels unbelievably limited. But like I said before, I'd prefer to have an option for the match to not launch at all if I'm going to play with the same player. I don't mid to play repeatedly with the same player on non-ranked, it's supposed to be training, I don't care, but on ranked this shouldn't happen, we should be able to change players and it's extremely rare.
