PVP stuff behind PvE content, made me uncompetitive in PVP.

As a PvP player, will there be a mechanic in game someday where I could get PvE based stuff for playing PvP, aka sets I desperately need to obtain to be competitive in PVP, but are behind PvE content?

Magma Incarnate monster set comes to mind, for example. And many many 5/5 sets in insanely hard veteran DLC dungeons, which I will never finish.

I am at the point where I kinda dont want to play PVP anymore (thats all I do in this game) beacuse I have no acess to stuff behind PvE content. And with new DLCs coming out constantly bringing new items (which are obviously more powerfull than previous content sets), it just make me be separated more and more from PVPers, who are able to get the stuff in PvE chore. I can not do that, I cant pug dungeons, I have no social groups to join with, and I refuse to go through all that social "chore" an MMO presents to players. I guess im too old hehe.

So, that said, I kinda noticed I have like 31+ million APs earned from my PvP content playing, and I have nothing to use em for. Most sets obtainable for APs I already own, and its also stupid to buy these sets for AP and sell it for ingame gold on guild stores, since everyone is already doing this and the market is overstuffed into oblivion.

Maybe some sort of way we could use those APS to buy like monster sets or something? You know, to make APs somewhat usefull and this would actually kill 2 flys in one shot.

It just isnt fun knowing you are tier lower with you equipment and cant be competitive against players who have it all. And it shows the diifference in equipment, using some old stuff compared to latest DLC stuff - you just cant be competitive, aka you become 2nd rated pvper eventually and its more and more evident, aka the gap between PVPers gets bigger and bigger. It worked like with 1st expansions, but now the radicall changes in sets is too obvious and too strong.

Any idea how would this be changed to please players like me? (I am not the only one, there are many many players in this position)

Thanks.

You can get the 5-piece sets from the normal dungeons, which are less than insanely hard.

As for the monster helms, I'm afraid you'll have to wait for the Golden merchant to offer them for sale. If you weren't aware, she shows up on the weekends and sells two monster helms or shoulders for AP and gold, along with dungeon and overland jewelry. Sometimes she sells DLC stuff, though it can take a long time for newest stuff to show up in her rotation.

But, uh, like I say to all the PVEers complaining that they have to do PVP content during Whitestrakes Mayhem, ESO is a game where if you want ALL of the rewards, you have to do ALL of the content.

It's not going to change. This is how ZOS sells their dungeon DLCs.

So you'll either have to wait for the Golden, or do the social chore to grouping up to do the content, or do without. Personally, I go with the "do without/wait" option, but then, I'm not a particularly competitive person so I'm okay with dying because I don't have top-notch gear.

You can use those AP on resellable jewelry sets from the golden vendor each weekend, then sell that to get the mats to get better armor, or buy a bunch of alliance war containers and open them and sell that (you probably get more use out of your AP this way anyways)

Some of the vet DLC content you can get comparable items by doing normal versions of the content- sure you won't get a Perfected set but you'll get something close to it. You can upgrade these "normal" items to legendary through the crafting system.

Unfortunately for everyone, CP-based PVP is not balanced and can never be balanced. You will rarely have those amazing 1v1s or 2v2s, and when you do have those amazing fights you'll see they end quickly when another party joins, or sometimes the fights never end at all due to too much sustain on one side and not enough DPS on the other. You need to go to non-CP campaigns to enjoy a more skill-centric style of gameplay- this is what the veteran PVPers are saying. CP alliance-locked Cyrodiil is more about tactics and getting your enemy off-guard, rather than actual skill (think to yourself: when 1 player can kill 20 people in a second, is that skill or is that position, timing, and luck?). You will find that many of the broken sets are disabled in non-cp gameplay with the exception of battlegrounds, which has some of the sets enabled still.

Like other said, you can get most pve gear pretty easily.
Other than that, there a lot of really powerful pvp sets out right, plaguebreak in particular is being used by everyone and their grandma at this point.

You could buy 15 Volendrung replicas. But ZOS has decided that you can only put 10 in one house, so you'd need to have at least 2 houses. That said, even just 2 Volendrung replicas next to each other is blindingly bright.

But..... what would be really cool is if ZOS would throw us PvPers a bone and make a cool house that is only purchasable with AP. It would be an elite status symbol representative of our dedication to the playstyle, and maybe even get a few more folks interested in the best part of this game.

When you think that there are "insanely hard" vet dungeons you're not even close to competitive PvP gameplay.
I'm but a sarcastic beef jerky. Irony and cynicism are my parents. You've been warned.
