What race do you want for a Necromancer companion?
"Our fallen ancestors are so honored that we can't even raise a hand when they come back wrong. Well, I couldn't run away and I wasn't about to let Uncle Adaraf rip my face off, so I put him back in his grave. The family disowned me after that, so why not go whole hog?'
I was thinking of Imperials - pious as they are, but Legion Zero, Molly Bally's invasion and all that - and him / her getting SICK of that. So he / she is imprisoned somewhere in IC (separate zone) so that the Vestige can save him / her.
Huh. Not sure why I never thought that we would even have a Necromancer companion. That does sound kind of cool actually.
Argonian could be cool. Altmer makes a lot of sense (basically Minimarco). So those would be my choice.
And after checking how the others voted, these two seem to be the most popular choices so far. I gave my vote to the Argonians because they are slightly behind Altmer at the moment.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.
I feel like the evil Altmer necromancer has become a bit of a trope in ESO, and don't particularly want this idea reprised in a companion. On the other hand, I think an Argonian necromancer would be interesting.
While I would think an Argonian would be cool, I'd rather see one as the Warden companion. Let's get a heretical Redguard instead. Perfect for a Redguard chapter too.

I'm not sure I want a companion Necromancer. My Necromance gets in enough trouble when he decides to kill a skeever in sight of a wandering merchant.
Since you have no control over when they use an ability, its safe to assume none of their abilities will ever be a Criminal Act. I also suspect they may not have pet abilities, Ember the Sorcerer doesn't have any pets though sorc pets are the permanent type. Whether or not the Necromancer companion will is a maybe since necro pets are temporary it could be less clutter than a permanent one especially if they're on the longer cooldown side like 16 or 36 seconds with an 8 second duration.
The most magically adept race in all of Tamriel. An arrogant, self absorbed Altmer who has the skills to control the forces of the undead would be a welcome addition to the slate of companions we have now. Him criticizing our magic skills as subpar would be icing on the cake and he can have dialogue that showcases how a true master of magic defeat his foes. Wouldn't be to everyone's taste since most people are used to npcs kissing our butts and telling us how great we are but it would be a nice change of pace.
Not want, but my theory is that since we've got 2 human, 1 elf and 1 beast race, the necro and warden will be an elf and a beast. Wood Elf is my guess for warden, so that leaves an Argonian necromancer. Both male, since it's 1 male, 3 female at the moment.
Orc, Bosmer or Redguard would be best IMO. Altmer are way too played out, and it seems like they do a different race/class every time.
What I would really kill for regarding an Altmer companion would be one raised by the Nordiest Nords; a regular Conan style axe swinging, mead-drinking, thuum belching barbarian.
And he should have piercing eyes and long flowing hair.
yeah it is definitely cliche but that's exactly what I want as well.
Also I don't want them to be an argonian because I'd rather have a nightblade argonian shadowscale but if they do make the necromancer an argonian, if they are a shadowscale, I'll take it.
