Argonian muck minder not registering as 2 items?

I am wearing three pieces of mothers sorrow jewelry and the argonian muck minder of a mothers sorrow lightning staff but it is only registering as 3 pieces from the set not 5? I thought staves are 2 pieces and the stave is not even registering as one item. What can I do?
