Those rewards look okay to me-- free TV, a free Alchemy ingredient, and a free AW repair kit. If you're doing just the minimum needed to get your tickets then, sure, that particular reward box might not seem very rewarding. But if you're doing a lot of IC and Cyro dailies, you can end up with a lot of free TV, repair kits, and other things each day.

Free repair kits might not seem like a good reward, but you can convert them into free AP. Then, if you don't see any use for AP, you can convert the AP to gold. But if you're one of the players who enjoys spending time in Cyro-- the players who this event is aimed at-- then you should appreciate getting free repair kits for repairing keeps instead of having to buy them with your gold or AP. Personally, I hate spending my gold on anything I can get for free in the game, so I usually go farm Imperial camps if I need repair kits, but the event boxes are a more reliable source. :)

It's unfortunate that the new and old style pages weren't included, but perhaps that's to encourage players to fight the bosses and sweepers in IC?

The rewards aren't worth the wait to get it, the fight to get " the take too long to respawn" writ needs, and the the gankers taking out everybody at Crops, Bruma and Vlast.

I waited to delete two of my pvp Templars for this event. That wait might not be too long.

No point getting them ranked only to delete them on 8/22.

the tel var adds up quite a bit, i was in cyro for like 4-5 hours last night and had about 20 of those to open (it was around 1000ish tel var in total, for free)

and being in cyrodiil, i couldnt lose the tel var there either

I agree the rewards are garbage, which is why I only bothered to do enough to get the event tickets.

All the Cyrodiil stuff I just trash as it just takes up inventory and I'm never going to bother with PvWall or PvDoor or whatever.

But many event boxes are full of junk - it is kind of expected and most likely because they can be farmed by the hundreds by the stay online and grind all-day types.

I do wish the event was like some of the others where at least the first box of the day had better stuff.

You can make 3k telvar in Sewers without fighting a single player in less than an hour. 4-5 hours to gain 1k tel var is a waste of your time.

yeah if i wanted to farm in IC, i was trying to farm AP with a war torte + pelinel scroll, so the 1000ish tel var was more icing on the cake while i make progress to alliance rank 39 lol

edit: i can make like 10k tel var in an hour in the sewer making a trip to the center lol

I use any Tel Var I get on wax parcels so that's not my main concern. The fact that after one day I have 28 purple bone things I can't even give away, a few flowers, one siege machine and a cpl siege repair kits for me isn't worth it.

    I remember better.

Not during this event you can't. You can't even venture out of your base without running into at least one ganker lol.

Yeah for all the unpleasantness of PVP I was expecting more as well. The people who saved up completed writs to turn in one a day were really smart. Just turning them in is less risky than having to actually complete them and turn them in.

No its pretty bad. ZoZ boxes gave more/rarer alchemy ingredients in every box plus motifs/blueprints. Meanwhile you need like 5-6 repair kits fixing a door/wall fully so that's a drop in the bucket.

And as others have said you can easily get 1k tel var stones when this event is running.

I’ve opened about 40-50 boxes so far. 0 event style pages (do they even drop from the boxes?), but I did get a runebox with both the body and face markings that are sold for tickets (the battle scarred ones that look like they both have one tiny scar).

Ok, for someone still learning all the acronyms here, may I ask what "AP" is?
Never mind, Alliance points ---- now, how do I convert those into alliance points?
And, never mind again, I saw the other response .... I guess I should stop destroying them, then.....LOL

I did like 4 ic dailies before this event and will use them to turn in over the next 4 days. Cyrodil dailies aren't bad to do so I don't mind doing this everyday. But yea, I was surprised I got the terrier pet already!the free telvar and repair stuff doesn't bother me, it's the transmute stones I want. I've done 30-40 dailies and haven't gotten a single motif so that's kinda a bummer. All in all though those cold fire seige things will sell for a decent amount in a few weeks! But these rewards do feel a lot like the last event ones.

I was disappointed that it's the same Breton Terrier dog that we had last year.

As @jaws343 said, you can convert the repair kits into AP by using them to repair things. The stone masonry kits are used for repairing walls of keeps, the wood kits are used for repairing the gates of keeps, and the siege kits are used for repairing siege equipment. You put them in your quickslots wheel, then you can travel from keep to keep by the transitus network until you find a keep that has walls and gates which aren't at full health.

Some of the walls can be tricky to repair because it might look like you're in a spot where you can repair a wall (because you can see its health bar and it isn't at full health), but when you try to repair it you can't. I think in those cases you need to go up to the top of the wall and repair the platform or walkway.

Note that the amount of AP you get from each usage of a kit can vary a goid bit depending on different factors, so you might want to wait until you can get more AP per repair.

I suck at aiming the siege machines so I go armed into every battle with 200 repair kits. You get no AP from repairing siege machines, you do however get AP for repairing doors.

Really ! geez i've helped like 8 people out with finishing or getting their pets.

I still haven't had a single runebox drop though.
