No option to repair client?

So support has recommended running client repair (which I know is not the issue but I'd like to show them I have jumped through their hoops), only issue is the repair option is not in the launcher where it should be. I have a suspicion this is a Win7 problem, anyone know a work around?

    Greetings,

After review, we have moved this thread to the PC Technical Support section as it is better fit there.

The repair option should normally be under "Game Options" in the ESO Launcher. It may be missing in some circumstances as explained in the article below.

Yes, I know where the repair option should be (and where it indeed is on my other desktop) but on the computer in question the repair option does not appear in the drop down it should. I have read the linked article and it is no help.

Could you provide a screenshot of your ESO launcher showing what menu options are currently showing up?

I've run into this recently. The only thing that I've found that brings back the repair option is to actually log in a character into the game and then exit.

No idea how you'd get it back if the problem is keeping you from logging in a character though.

    And I'm on Win11 so it's not just a Win7 problem.

It's broken and been posted about so many times .. by clicking the big gear in the top right on and off, then the repair option shows up in the small central gear's menu. It's been around for months and posted about!

You can try running the launcher in admin mode and see if the repair option shows back up. To do so, simply follow the steps below:
    • Right-click on the launcher icon
    • Select Properties
    • Choose the Compatibility tab (If you have Windows 8, in the Compatibility box select Windows XP Service Pack 3)
    • Check the box that says Run as Administrator
    • Click Apply and OK

Running launcher in Admin mode did not work unfortunately. It is getting more and more difficult to run repairs on the client to try and fix the multitude of crashes, super-lag, and amazingly long load screens. Kinda frustrating if you ask me :(

    Thank you for the update.

If you leave the launcher window open for a few minutes, does the repair option show up after some time has passed?

After some testing it seems that Iselin is correct, that the only time the repair option does show up is after being able to successfully log into the game. The other night, however, I was stuck on a perma-load screen and could not make it into the game to get the repair option to show up.

And no, I've left the launcher open for up to 5 minutes with no success.
