How to view item stats when trading with player?

I’m using game pad mode on pc with a Xbox controller but I’m curious when trading items with a player in game how can I view the stats of the item they are trading. I tried using my mouse to hover over the item but it didn’t show what stats it was. I was trading with someone gold for a bloodthirsty necklace and couldn’t confirm if it was bloodthirsty trait or not during the trading process but luckily it was.

    it should show a tooltip when hovering over the item in the trade window that displays the items stats

    im not sure how that works with gamepad mode though as i only use mouse/keyboard in non-gamepad mode

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
