🤣 this is by far the most entertaining justification of a dwindling playerbase I have ever heard.

The extreme heatwave affecting Europe right now is having a very real impact on gamers in that region. The infrastructure was not built with these temperatures in mind and many homes do not have AC. When the outside temperature is 100F+ it can cause indoor temperatures to easily reach 90F+ without AC and good ventilation, and it is simply unwise and irresponsible to play on a gaming PC or consoles with the temperature that high since it can lead to overheating and damaging of the system.

Is it THE reason ESO’s player base is declining recently? No, but it is certainly a contributing factor at the moment for those in the EU.

People are leaving... and it's getting harder to deny every day.

I saw some life in Craglorn last night. For a few minutes chat was picking up again. It was almost reassuring... but, then it dropped off.

If this goes live, the consequences are going to be catastrophic for the community.

As someone else said, it is Summer, people are finally able to get out and enjoy the weather, not to mention it is hot out everywhere, I doubt people are running their PCs in these temps, not everyone has AC, not everyone wants to run their AC in record inflation economy.

🤣 this is by far the most entertaining justification of a dwindling playerbase I have ever heard.

I suppose, for someone that doesn't step outside often...
You people like to say "but it's just steam counts" and then use the same thing to justify your argument when it's negative, so here, why is the count up?

Do not leave. Better if update will be fully bad - wright them about it PM untill it will not be fixed normally !

You leave and what ? Nothing will be better. So better wright to them and ask to make thingth "normally".

So..? It's just a game, if I no longer enjoy it, I will leave. I understand the feeling of not wanting your game to die but why would most of us stay with constant changes and just... not fun allowed overall?

Ps na is dead too. My guilds that ran every single night have nothing scheduled. Beyond that most people have an external fan for there ps set up, they are dirt cheap and require very little power. In addition to that we are talking about 9pm on the weekends too. Craglorn is normally packed during that time. I'm a rock climber- I'm not out at 9pm climbing, I do that during the day. Afterwork hrs again are usually slammed and there is nothing. So no. I don't buy it. Not every day for almost for over a week. It's not coincidence that this drop off happened right after news came out. It may have contributed but it's most definitely not the overwhelming reason.

I mostly trade so I never really stay up on combat changes and often take them with a grain of salt and deal. But I have noticed the mass migration since sales are also dead. I target mostly raiders and PvPers with my items and have noticed a drastic decline in sales which means people are not building, raiding, PvPing, etc. Combat changes impact us all, even in sales, and no one wants to see the game die so shortly after a huge influx to PC NA after the server upgrade. Sooooo many people have left. I've spent a lot of time in Craglorn and no trials are running. I'm not exaggerating, there are almost no LFG's for trials. This issue needs to be addressed. @ZOS should really look into a new combat team or a new combat team leader because they are trashing the game.

Where I live, its 102F at night, ramps up to 110 day time. I am nearly certain Europe's heatwave is NOT the reason of empty Craglorn. Lol.

And for the guy saying why the numbers are up, its because, 1) there was a free eso plus trial, 2) most people who cancelled subs or leaving, are still playing on and off especially if they are in some progs to finish before the patch.

Meanwhile, if it makes you guys feel better, blame the weather by all means.

I already answered the account part, and I have a full time 9-5 job, so yes, I do step out. It is very hot where I live, and no, getting on ESO doesn't burn my house down after a long day of work.

I'm playing since Beta. I will not discuss who/what is to blame but the Wow factor isn't there anymore.

I didn't finish High Island, it bored me. i think Orsinium was the last content that i really enjoyed.

In the last 4 months most of my friends stooped playing, but yesterday I saw the news “The Elder Scrolls Online Surpass 21 Million Players Milestone” I'm happy for that.

But for me, I just decide to take a break of playing TESO .

Since Elsweyr, I feel their designing has gotten lazy. Like you couldnt enter most homes in and outside of cities. Content started getting smaller and kind of boring. I did enjoy Elsweyr zone and I think they did a fantastic job designing Deadlands, but High Isle was a miss. And these combat changes are just terrible.
