Question About Venomous Smite?

Does anyone know if the poison occurs on impact?

It says it ticks every 2 seconds for ten seconds but does that mean it ticks immediately or after 2 seconds?

For anyone interested, I got some cheap venomous smite gear and ran a test and NO, it doesn't proc on contact, it takes 2 seconds before the first dot.

SO, it ticks 5 times

Not useful for burst

It's more a PvE or irritating people with snipe set.

Venomous + Syvarra + Skoria (4 medium, 3 light), then Poison Inject/Soul Splitting Trap, Acid Spray + spam light attacks = pretty oki PvP pressure build.

Also this build, very very VERY theoreticaly, If about 10 people will be used, can kill a ball group (CP campaing only), since it would be like 40 AoE sticked dots + several direct damage sources.

you would have to have someone running plaguebreak to prevent purge spam

purge spam made dots obsolete in pvp, then plaguebreak reigned that in some (and i think it will still do even after the U35 nerfs)
