So the pvp event is coming up soon and PC EU and other platforms are yet to have the server hardware update yet. Sadly they most likely wont have the update before the pvp event but one can only hope. You think we getting the update before or after the event? If they got fixed for the event that would make pvping a dream

Not necessarily. We as consumers have no business to know what they do with their infrastructure, providing it doesn't interfere with the content or enjoyment of the game.
Telling us would simply be an optional courtesy I would say

Caribou77✭✭✭✭✭Does anyone reading this have the knowledge to explain exactly what “updating the servers” means? Does this mean replacing inadequate/outdated server hardware so that PVP lag goes away? That would seem like a substantial investment that zos would want its customers to be aware of.0

iirc, when they updated the equipment for the PC/NA server, it was made clear that was what they were doing. I have not seen such a comment for this week's work so that message was likely just related to updating code.0
