Are the quick slot consumables broken?

Returning after 5-6 years and trying to catch up on everything. Can’t seem to use the quick slots to use a potion or anything else assigned but mementos and emotes work. Am I missing something or are they broken? TIA!
I’m on PS5.

Kappachi✭✭✭✭✭first use of quickslot sets it to be slotted, then you have to tap quickslot button quickly to use the slotted item. Unless it's something like allies, those summon automatically.1

✭✭✭✭✭I'm not the OP but I've noticed over the last few days I often have to push the button twice to actually use a quickslot item in combat. I'm certain it was off cooldown and available to use and that I was hitting the right button (where mine is I'd either fire off a skill or open the menu if I missed the right button, so it's pretty noticable) but the first time often doesn't do anything so I have to do it again to actually consume a potion or whatever.
I've occasionally noticed a similar problem with skills not firing when I expect them to, but it seems more common with quickslot items. Lucozade85✭✭✭The quickslot wheel sometimes comes up randomly and doesn't go away on consoles. Have you go into your menu and back out to get rid of it. Really annoying during trials.2

dead_goon✭✭I’m playing on PS5. When I go to use the quick slots, say for health, it’s basically ignoring the command and making that sound like when you try to pick up something and your inventory is full. Mementos and emotes work though…0

Are you on the correct quickslot wheel? There seems to be more than one now. It is a pain trying to use something in combat to find out the scrying tool is showing up instead of the weapon potion.0 -

Yes, because I’ve even tried replenishing my health after very close battles and just get the inventory full type sound and no consumption of potions.
I’m lost. I’ve even completely removed all potions and re-assigned them.
Actually, just pressing up on the d-pad will consume what is assigned there but not using the wheel when holding up on the d-pad…Edited by dead_goon on July 18, 2022 4:36PM0 -

I think the devs mentioned the issue about skills not firing, naming it "input delay". It happens a lot in BGs.Imperial DK and Necro tank. PC/NA

Can’t seem to upload a video but in the picture when I try to consume a potion, it just ignores it and doesn’t not consume it.

Aggrovious✭✭✭✭THIS is a bug. I know what OP is talking about. Its F*****g annoying.
The quick slot menu can go haywire in combat and just stick on your screen. That means you can do any combat effectively because the menu won't go away. I play on PC NAMaking a game fun should be a priority. Making a game balanced should not come at the expense of fun.1 -
