Are 2H passives going to change now that they utterly suck?

With the PTS gutting of heavy attacks means that 2 of the passive become really useless (Forceful and follow up)

Now they'll only be duel wielding. So, I assume the good people at ZOS are going to counter the destruction of the 2H with some damage benefit?

I mean, for templar, 2h might be a good strategy now. Wrecking blow not only does more damage than Jabs now, it also grants empower freeing up a bar spot from Solar Barrage. It's worth testing. I'm not sure if it's better than current set-ups people are trying with dual wield. But it might be if the PTS goes live.

Other than that, I do agree with you.

Problem with wrecking blow is it's single target which will mean CP passive DPS loss if running typical Templar AOE and I guess the burning light proc is still on a GCD with 3 jabs and a LA

They are not useless..? Why would follow up become useless? Arr you saying that you will never heavy attack anymore? I will still use heavy attacks.

Kindly redirect your attention to some critique about how Light/Heavy attacks could be salvaged through granting bonus Light/Heavy attack damage while wielding swords (Heavy weapon, Twin Blade and Blunt, Sword and board and Savage strength. And explained further in the thread.)
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/611965/update-35-a-way-to-save-light-heavy-attack-damage-a-bit

Side note: even I know the devs have gone slightly too far with the changes to light/heavy attacks.

    Edit: correcting the link.

If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

I find it much easier weaving with 2hndr so if they improve id be pretty happy, looks weird asf weaving with dual to me.

Many people use follow up as burst. It's not worth the DPS loss for 10% more damage on your spammable if you're better off using your spammable.

Yes, you can still use heavies for restore but it's now entirely different as a passive because 2H wielders are going to use it a lot less which in turn makes forceful just as bad.

    It's a nerf to 2h without a shadow of a doubt.

Im thinking PvP that 10% will still be useful for burst. Imo.

For PvE dw is the way to go since it have always been more dps. 2H grant more sustain.

Dw grant more dmg in pvp aswell. 2h have more sustain, rally, gap closer(not sure about that dw gap closer).

Everything do not have to be "homogenised" imo.

Maybe the splash dmg passive need to get upped
