    15-20% of core damage is too high. They are being considerate allowing it to stay at 10%. It should be 5% max, imo.

    Removing it or lessening its damage wont do much to help the low end players anyways. I've seen logs and played with these people, light attacks are the least of their problems.

    You will still be maximizing your damage by weaving. This is really being blown out of proportion from that combat preview. The only thing that is happening is light and heavy attacks will have fixed values instead of scale. That's it. Nothing is changing with weaving.

    The more concerning changes are the dot and buff uptime adjustments.

    I wish people read, think, calculate, understand and only then, if they really feel like something's wrong, go rage mode on forums.
    Currently we have so much whining about U35 simply because the majority just didn't understand what is written in the notes. At least, this is what it looks like to me.
    One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

    Weaving isn’t being removed. Its impact is being adjusted. In essence, damage dealers who choose to do it will be better, but those who choose not to will still do alright. This is a good thing!

    A tank will have the same dmg as someone who invests into dmg when it comes to light attacks. That means going pure dmg is at an even more disadvantage than it already is.

    Just play a nightblade if you want to experience the joy of having to weave light attacks perfectly to deal decent damage....

    To be honest. I actually agree that Light Attacks need a little nerf. But I would buff, Empower and Weapon’s Expert to compensate. Allowing players that wish to specialise the option to do so.

    It is DoT nerfs that a far more worrying and will lead to a greater DPS loss. We might get more spammable usage. But DoT builds will suffer greatly.

    Pretty wird how people are unhappy about weaving. Nothing will change about weaving. Complain about a DPS nerf is you must, that is fine because that's what's happening.

    And why a thing that is considered a skill, need to be nerfed? Because someone is bad or lazy and don't want to learn how to use the X mechanics ?

    They significantly increased the dmg of light attacks not long back, so they're actually a little overtuned right now. Most of us are actually okay with the loss of some light attack dmg, but the dot/hot restructuring is supremely problematic. The light attack changes will only impact the small percentage of us who currently take advantage of that free dmg, but the rest of it will be felt by every single player across the entire spectrum.

    I think it's fair to be worried. We don't know what direction they want to take this; if they decide to nerf it more in the future, best to start putting your foot down now.

    But I definitely agree with the posts that say that the change to DoTs is the biggest issue with this update.

    they could add more skills to the bar on screen so that can equlise the damage,, and help with the loss..
    like 6 7 8 more skills in total .. or some might say 120 but 8 i think is good..mayeb two ultimate's but yea this be cool..

    If all you are worried about is LA weaving you haven't actually read the patch notes. That's nowhere *near* the worst of it. For me as a healer, HoT is the worst, but there are tons of class nerfs, resource management nefts, DoT nerfs, ranged attack nerfs, HA nerfs. It is pages and pages and pages of nerfs.

    it makes weaving less important since it becomes a smaller part of the overall damage, so anyone not properly weaving isn't hit as hard (the better you weave, the harder you hit). this also shrinks the overall gap since the top end is more affected. the dot duration change won't mean much for the high end either, but low end now has a less frantic rotation so they can (learn to) weave easier while maybe paying attention what else is happening in the game. dead dps doesn't do dps.

    I think the aim of reducing LA damage is just to nerf damage, not to help players. If ZoS want to help us they should implement some kind of weaving helpers (for those who don't have access to addons) and improve server's queue.

    Also, ZoS should really explain how GCD works. Currently, most of what can be found on this is either imprecise or untrue. It's very confusing for new players. They have to explain exactly how GCD and ICD work. What is the exact timing, how LA and skills interact, what is the skill queue, how it works, etc.
