Ive sold over 500m worth of carries.
This dps sounds like they take the game way to seriously.
Unchained is around 10x more pricey than a standard vbrp clear. If we happen to get the buyer unchained it's obviously just a lucky GG for the buyer.
They signed up for x. They get x. If y or z happens they get that as well since they didn't sign up for it. Good for them.
I have sold 500m worth of carries... So I feel I can say this without people saying "you are just salty you can't do it" or something equally stupid... most people who sell carries are fine BUT a decent amount of people who sell carries are horrible... Gold hungry... Stab anyone for a single gold coin... Kind of people...
I wouldn't trust the avg carry seller... I've seen enough of them try and do dodgey things to buyers to know I shouldn't trust em...
That's probably the worst story I've heard in eso this recent time, kinda insane. People like that have no place in carrying let alone raiding in general, I wish this info would get a face later on so less stuff like that might emerge and people would be more aware of their "habits".
Yea, that's a toxic person. The Raid Lead did the right thing to kick them from group and all that IMO. I mean, if it happens it happens, same way a lot of other people got Gryphon Heart - they earned it instead of buying it. Sounds like this player earned it by staying alive and doing their job through the fight. That's not something the average player that pays for carries can always do for something like a trifecta. Personally, I'd also have offered them a free GH carry after getting them their skin as well to make up for that player (if its within the groups ability to do effectively).
Ideally, you get the GH and as a gesture of good will the buyer tips everyone handsomely.
I've had runs where things went better than expected-- lucky with drops, much faster than anticipated, unexpected achievement-- and the buyer always tipped after. If your dps had had a brain, he likely would have had a nice pug GH on his record and some extra gold in his pocket, but he had to eff around and find out I guess. Good riddance.
The saboteur had every right to feel differently, but the moment he took the decision to spite everyone else for his own sake was the moment he showed he doesn't belong in a fair-minded guild.
I can't for the life of me see how the GM's decision was divisive. What is the other perspective?

I honestly can't either. Why would this be remotely controversial? I'd actually say that anything less would have been too lenient. Trust is broken by actions like these. Kicked dps will need to learn his lesson and find a new group.
