Won several of NPC dailies and yet stuck at 2nd Level

As the title says. Could someone kindly explain why NPC dailies don't give us any advantages to level up?
I'm stuck at level 2 even after I won at least 9 NPC dailies and some human games (not dailies, just duels), It seems the level doesn't move at all!
