Quoted post has been removed.
There was some country where crowns were exceptionally cheap. Some people made accounts in that country via a VPN, got the crowns cheap, then resold them in game or gifted themselves stuff in their main account. Don't know which country it was. ZOS apparently fixed it. Presumably they're keeping a closer eye on currency fluctuations now.

Thats quite a big increase. Have checked Xbox as is same.
Guild members stating that just won’t buy as they used to.
Silly really as it encourages gold/crown trading and the chance of people getting ripped off.
So I went back and you're absolutely right.SerafinaWaterstar wrote: »5500 used to be £23.99 now £29.99.

On PC they put the UK prices up when the Brexit referendum caused the pound to crash against the dollar. Of course when it recovered a few weeks later ZOS didn't notice and we've been paying those prices ever since.
For whatever reason they've now decided to increase the Playstation prices to match.
Came here looking an explanation on why UK crowns have suddenly jumped up in price by £6 a pack of 5500 from £23.99 to £29.99... the only ZOS comment is a moderation.
Can we get an official response on this please?
Why has the UK been targeted for a massive crown increase price, when no other country has?... it cannot involve shipping costs or any type of over heads as it is a digital currency that has no bearing on physical reality and involves no overheads. Many of us have been playing since launch and the prices have always been the same in every country and every platform. Why now has the UK Playstation had a significant price increase on crown packs when no other country has?
Hoping this is a mistake, [snip]
