U35 in a nutshell

So, ZoS thinks that reducing DPS and reducing HPS is going to make the game more accessible? The very first scenario that pops into my head is a trial encounter. Players will do LESS damage per second which means the fights will last longer. AND, players will HEAL LESS per second which means more death during the fights. There's only one outcome from these changes... wipe after wipe after wipe. NOT more accessible. NOT an improvement.

If they really wanted to level the playing field, they'd eliminate weaving completely. Weaving is nothing more than a "legal" exploit of game mechanics. But make no mistake, it's an exploit nonetheless.

I think some of it will depend on how exactly things are implemented and how effective people actually were

For example, the example they used was that a DOT right now does 1.5x the damage of a spamable over 10 seconds and under the changes would do 2x the damage of a spammable over 20 seconds.

So, at the 20 second mark the 1.0 dot would have dealt the damage = to 3x spammable vs the 2.0's 2x spammable but, the 1.0 dot would have burned 2 GCD's

So, if you use the GCD you saved by not using the DOT twice to toss a spammable at the 20 second mark you'd be at 3x spammable damage vs 3x spammable damage.

I think in longer fights, the DOT change might actually lead to players that weren't perfect to actually get better results damage wise. (For example, if you are 1 second late with every dot you'll be losing .1 spammables with 2.0 vs .3 spammables with 1.0 every 20 seconds.)
